Heyho Wowheads,
i thought i put this topic here because maybe some program writer are here.
if Mods don't agree with me just move this thread where ever you think its the right section ;).
So my Question:
I'm currently learning the programming language C# (in Visual Sudio).
I want to make tooltips of items, spells etc in a WinForm program just like they are on a Website (
http://www.wowhead.com/tooltips
)
I have already tried some things like a webbrowser in the form but it just gives me a link.
Also i tried a linkLabel but i have no idea how I get a working Wowhead tooltip to this.
i would be really happy if someone could help me.
thanks,
mattsmaus aka Mennoxx
PS: sorry for bad english I'm from Autria and my english is a bit "rusty" :D

You want to make things like tooltips in C#? Are you doing WinForms or WPF?

WinForms.
A normal Tooltip is very easy but I want the tooltip to download from Wowhead just like in the link i posted.
On html i already managed to get this working.
But my Projekt is a WinForm and not a Website^^

Well, the Wowhead
power.js
tooltip code isn't going to be too much use to you unless you can throw an embedded browser in a form and then somehow hide the scrollbars, find the tooltip in the document, scroll the document and size the document to the tooltip, and then display it.
It's that or you write custom tooltip code that uses the Armory API as its data source -- or, I suppose, the Wowhead item XML feed, if all you care about is items.

As crap as WPF is for a lot of stuff (not XAML, WPF -- I like XAML), this is probably a great fit for it. You could do a lot with Blend to create something really flexible.
