"We should be in range by now," Vender began, pushing her way into the communication room of the airship. "Get anything yet?" she asked the two diminutive operators within.
Two gnomes, one female with bright pink pigtails and wearing brown overalls and a small folded cap turned about. "Just about. There's some weirder than usual static though and its messing with the encryption."
"Pipe down, I almost got it," the second, a male with a frizzy white beard and hair said, square goggles hiding his narrowed eyes which glared at a concave screen across which danced an irritable wavelength, his hands busy fiddling with dials and levers of a massive and blocky radio receiver that devoured the entire room.
"Wait...almost...almost...got it!" The gnome cried. Verden grabbed the microphone from the desk, opening it with a hiss of static.
"This is Admiral Verden of the Retribution Aerial Fortress. Come in tower, over."
There was a hiss and pop of static, followed by a dim voice that, only through the two gnomes immediate fiddling became clearer. "Verden? That you?"
"Doctor? What are you doing in the radio room?"
"Oh, seems professer Albert's giant rats got loose and are running around everywhere. They even ate the man I had been interrogating! Greedy bastards. We've locked down the island, but Albert locked himself in the bathroom again and won't come out. So, you'll have to land at the port in the Highlands until we can sort this out."
Verden sighed. "Roger tower, this is the Retribution, signing off."
"And don't think I didn't notice you failed to call this the
Island of Doom
. You know, when I go through so much to think of a name it-." The voice was cut off as Verden hung up the receiver, sighing as she exited the radio to give the new co-ordinates to the helmsman.

"It's not. But then I've never pretended to act like a real lady, have I?" Selindera deadpanned.
"Oh yes! Give me a minute," the secretary held up a finger and dialed up her phone. "Mr. Sunhawk? Yes. You have visitors, were you expecting any? You were! Oh good! I'll send them up right away!"
She put the phone down and motioned towards the door to her right, "If you go down that way and take the elevator to the fifth floor, then go down the hall, there should be a door at the end where Mr. Sunhawk will meet you."

Hazel nodded, heading back to her hippogryph, with Vrell right on her heels. Soon they were mounted up and heading into the air again, directed westwards towards the coastline.

Kiran and Koran followed along. After a bit, Kiran angled his gryphon up beside Vrell's. "Hey, how long have you been with Hazel anyways?" He asked her, looking over at the woman.

Vrell glanced sideways at Kiran, before sticking out her lowerlip and staring at the sky as she counted one hand (the other still tightly holding the hippogryph's reigns), "Twenty... some-odd years? Been a long while. Met up with her some time before the whole 'let's go kill the Lich King' thing went down."

"I see." Kiran said with a nod, looking over at her. "So, did the Bronzes do what the rest of the Flights did? That whole 'with the Aspect depowered, time to find a new purpose of life'? That's what happened to poor Koran; his Mistress just sorta took off after one last adventure before the whole Pandaria thing started up." He told her.

"Sort of," Vrell shrugged a bit as she looked back at him. "Unlike some of the other Flights, we still got a lot of problems. People don't just stop trying to mess with time just because our Aspect sort of lost his omniscience--in fact, things actually started getting worse. It's still pretty bad but it's better than the initial wave of mages and their friends trying to change all sorts of things."
"As for us... Hazel hasn't really been all right since Deathwing was defeated. I guess she was a little shocked at what happened to the Aspects, and for someone who usually has all the answers, she didn't really understand this," she glanced forward at the Bronze at the head of the group.

"Barick, get everything plugged in, it doesn't take that long for someone to ride an elevator!" Marcin exclaimed. Dr. Everwind was watching the chaos of everyone trying to get CEISU activated from the back of the room with a roll of his eyes behind his goggles.
The young scientist near the main door wrung his hands together and looked at the messy lab, CEISU in the center surrounded by desks of papers and equipment and the other researchers. He bit his lower lip, "This won't end well."

Kiran looked over at the Bronze in disguise, his eyes seeing her and yet looking past her. "I remember that time...it was bad, after the Aspects lost their grand powers." He said quietly, as one hand reached up for the medallion. "Lots of confusion at Wyrmrest back then."

"...Right then." Leo raised his knuckle and rapped on the door.

"I think maybe the Blues have; but then again, they've always been isolated compared to the rest." Kiran said, looking back at Koran. "But it does suck for those who were their servants; I mean, at least the Reds are still willing to speak to me and all."
Koran half-listened to the conversation, thinking back to the last time he had saw Marigosa.

"Maybe one day they'll need them again," Vrell shrugged, and rubbed her forehead. "I don't have the brain to understand what a dragon does or doesn't do or the reasons behind it, so I just go with what comes."
She glanced sideways, seeing the ocean coming up into view.

Marcin scrambled over to the door, throwing it inwards and waving awkwardly at Leo and his entourage, "Hey! Welcome! Sorry for the mess and everything, but come on in!" the young scientist made awkward gestures for the trio to come inside.

"Guess that's the smart way to do things...." Kiran said, and shrugged. "Then again, no one has ever said I'm all that smart." The half-elf laughed a little at that, and looked at the ocean.

Leo walked inside, closely followed by Sindry. Edmund, however, after a cursory glance, remained outside, standing rigidly beside the door with arms crossed.
Leo looked all around, his face splitting into a broad smile. "Nice set up! Could use a couple extra independent generators if power was cut off, though..." he trailed off as, like a magnet, his eyes were drawn to the center of the room, and the device surrounded by the chaos of research there.
Sindry didn't even bother to give the room a glance, still patiently reading her book.

"Haha, we have backup generators downstairs in the main power room. The ones in here are actually just for CEISU, she takes a lot to keep running at the moment," Marcin replied cheerfully, stepping over to the device in question to flip some of the switches to start powering her up.

Whether or not Hazel had heard the conversation that had transpired behind her was unknown, as the Bronze simply looked back at the three Sworn, "The location of the isle is just up ahead," she said, bringing the group of air mounts in a downward direction towards the expanse of seemingly empty waters.
