Has anything been said about these going away in MoP ?
We seem to be heading in that direction. Cata only had the Uldum , and Twilight Heights dailies*. WotLK had a
lot more. If I understand things correctly there will no longer be any faction grinds for head or shoulder chants and
there will only be 3 general factions instead of the current 5. Getting rid of those faction chants should imo
seriously reduce peoples need to grind faction in a daily thus making it easier ti remove them.
I can see two purpose here; 1) they are deflating the economy a little bit compared to past X-Pacs and 2) they are shortening the gear up time by getting rid of the chants..
*I am treating Tol Barad as PvP for this discussion and not as general play.

All of the dailies in MoP are tied to a faction rep; there are going to be total of 140 dailies, and 50 will be up per day; those 50 rotate around from one location to the next: IE August Celestials swap between the Jade Temple, the Black Yak Temple, the White Tiger Temple. Shado-Pan has three primary sets of Dailies; kill Mantids, Kill Mogu, Kill Yangol. The Anglers send you all over the place in the Wilds.
There are no Faction enchants anymore(Scribes do shoulders and Head is gone) but at the moment, the Factions have epic level gear on them at Revered that are purchasable for VP...and since you can get 5 VP per daily quest well....you'll still be doing Dailys to get that stuff(and the exalted rep means you get mounts).

If anything, I think MoP will have more dailies and they will last longer. I don´t think they are set up to be a grind, more like a thing for people to do besides heroics and raids. There are going to be a ton of different dailies at launch, which will make it hard for people to do every one.

Since the daily cap was/will be removed, it's more then possible to do all 50 of the Mists Dailies at 90, provided you've done the chains to unlock the hubs they are located in.

Great summary. Sounds awesome.
Cheers.

I see, Well I certainly read the tea leaves wrong although I suspect that many if not most of the people who only ground faction for the head and shoulder chants will quit or at least scale back anyway. That of course assumes that the epics that were referred to are not simply too good to resist. Thanks all who replied for the updates.

The epics are opening raid level.
Edit: And from the main factions, you'll end up with a Head piece, Cloaks andTrinkets(Shado-Pan) Belt, Feet, Gloves(August Celestials), Rings and Shoulders(Golden Lotus); definitely worth the grind.

Yeah, sorry my words came out wrong. What I meant to say is that there will be so many to do each day that most players won´t have enough time to do them (not that the daily cap limit would prevent it). If you are talking about 40-50 possible daily quests per day, that gotta be 2-3 hours of questing at least.
I don´t recall exactly, but MF was about 10-12 quests per day, all in the same general area, and it still took 30 mins most days. The MoP quest hubs are spread out more.

Honestly, it's not that bad; right now on Beta I'm doing Shado-Pan and August Celestial Dailies; the AC ones are done in about 10 minutes per hub(one in the Wilds and then whichever of the Temples is active for the day) and, depending on the people and the set of the dailies, it's about 15 mins to half an hour for the Shado-Pan(the Mantid dailies take longer then the Mogu or Yangol ones).
It's more like doing dailies in the days of Wrath, where doing the Tourney, Hodir and Argent in ZD could take an hour or so....now, with the Daily cap gone, there really isn't anything keeping someone from doing dailies for hours on end of course; doing all of the cooking/fishing dailies in Azeroth/Outland, all of the ones in Northrend, all of the Cata ones and all of the Outland ones in addition to the Pandaria ones heh; but I doubt there will be many nut bars doing all of that.
But it will be nice to be able to do all of the dailies you want to do, rather then picking and choosing like you have to now(BC you had a choice: Do all of the SSO dailies and none of the rest, or gimp SSO rep while doing Netherwing/Ogri'la/Skyguard, or Wrath with the AT eating up 85% of your daily cap in one go).
