Then again, the art style changed a lot on this show. Zuko was 16 on ATLA, Korra is barely 1 year older in her show and she looks A LOT older than Zuko. Ditto for Mako who's also 17 and looks older than zuko.
Asami is the same age as Yue, and also looks a hell of a lot older. So I'll agree that the General may not necessarily have to be in his 30s

So lets recap so of the discussion that happened in the RB. We all kinda like Zuko after he got his head out of his ass. At the start he was just a whiny boy. Then he was good for a bit. Then he was bad. Then he was emo. Then he taught the avatar fire bending and was a badass.
No, he more or less was a whiny brat with daddy issues for seasons 1 and 2. Then he pulled a heel-face turn on season 3 and actually became a character I could respect.
Azola(if that how you spell her name) we all argee is more then a bit crazy.
Its Azula, and she's not just a badass but the greatest villain ever. When she defeats you, she DEFEATS YOU FOR ALL TIME, SO YOU MAY NEVER RISE FROM THE ASHES OF YOUR HUMILIATION.
Also why did I just find a harry potter/avatar fanfic?
Because the internet is that crazy. I've seen fics of Avatar+Archie.
I swear I'm not making that up.

Well, I would say all of part one he was a whiny ass. Most of part two he was also being whilny. The last few episodes in part two had him making a turn for the better. Having run that awesome tea shop with Uncle Iroh, as well as that conflict he was having that changed him some. But once Azula talked to him in the catacombs he became a whiny brat again. Then he turned around towards the middle of part 3.

She may be a badass, but she has Mommy issues just like Zuko has daddy issues. And she is still crazy as hell. But I kinda want to know what happened to her after the war.

Nah, not really, I did said he got immensely better post "Black Sun". Besides, his dorkiness provides some of the most humorous lines on the whole show.
"Hello, Zuko here."
"AHHHH WHY AM I SO BAD AT BEING GOOD?"
"That's rough buddy" (this in completely dead-serious face, after sokka told him that his first girlfriend turned into the moon)
But I kinda want to know what happened to her after the war.
I think they the creators confirmed in an interview that she was committed to a mental hospital after the war.

So it seems there will be another trilogy after the Promise.
The Search
The Search trilogy will primarily focus on the mystery surrounding Zuko's mother, Ursa. It will also reveal details of former Princess Azula's confinement in a Fire Nation mental institution and what effects this has had on her.
Found this because I went and looked on Azula's page to see what else they might have said in the interview. But it seems it was from the older Avatar: The Last Airbender official site, originally on Nick.com.
I had seen that picture on that page before, but I thought it was going to be for something else.

Azula is
oviously
the parent killing firebender in LoK.

Its possible if she got out of the mental hospital and nothing had changed. But we'll know what she did for sure in probably a years time. The last part of The Promise won't be out until October I believe, then they'll have to do The Search after that. It'll probably get finished around the time LoK starts the second book.
But if something were to happen, I can see it being due to something she had done.

Something occurred to me.
BIG SPOILER WALL OF DOOM!
Amon's revolution was doomed to fail from the start.
He was able to take away a person's bending via fake energybending (later revealed-ish to be a mix of chi-blocking plus bloodbending) but this does not nullifies the fact that the person is still a bender and can still pass down their bending to their offspring.
Remember that Aang de-bended Yakone with REAL energybending, not the fake BS, the real deal, and still when Yakone had kids, they inherited his bending.
So even if he purged every last bender of the world of their powers, these benders would still be able to procreate and pass their powers to the next generation. Amon wont live forever, so its not like he can de-bend everyone forever, and training someone else to do this would require blowing his cover of being a blood-bender, so his entire revolution really was doomed from the very beginning.
what do you think guys?

More questions about how people get their bending abilities. Would be nice if we got to ask the creators about how it works.
But yeah, I agree that it wouldn't have worked very well.
Also,
Exclusive Commentary from Series Creators Beginning July 9
. It'll air at 9 PM eastern time on the Nicktoons channel.
Not to sure, but it might be like the Avatar Extras we had in the past.
It seems it will just be the creators talking about the show, and some behind the scenes stuff. Also the original Avatar Extras as well as some DVD extras will also be aired.

So finally got around to watching Korra; I enjoyed it but the main thing that stuck out for me was all the conspicuous CGI. Other then that, loved it....though, seeing that, have to wonder if this time around it's going to end up being a different Avatar per book.

If it was a different Avatar per book it would be inaccurate to call the show the "Legend of Korra". I imagine Book 2 focusing on spirituality. Every time I think about Mako and the Makorrasamin love rectangle my head hurts.

Yeah they already said the second part will be about half in Republic City and half travelling the world. That gives them plenty of chances to go and see the places that were visited in TLA and how they have changed. Also gives them a chance to see old Zuko.
But aside from that, they haven't really said what the plot would be focused on.

THIS MAKES ME SO DAMN HAPPY.
Ya know, it shows how TV network executives are......... >_> sexism still persists in some form or another.
When the 2 creators made the Korra show, the Nick executives, were hesitant about how sane it was to make a show with a female-centered protagonist, already thinking it would fail because the new avatar was a girl. And this was the initial reason they only approved 26 episodes. After Season 1 Book 1 proved to be A SMASHING OVERWHELMING SUCCESS, they relented and accepted that Korra is the new avatar.
AND THEY HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT >_>
