Sharing an instance lock with alts?

Hey guys.
I'm trying to wrap my head around possibly sharing my raid with my other alts, and would like to know, if what I'm thinking is possible, or if anyone has an easier way. (Can't test it right now, as I'm at work :))
Practical example:
I killed razorgore and Vael with a guildmate on my Death Knight, and then left the raid. To share this particular point in the instance with my other alts, I was thinking of inviting my lvl 10 free trial account, make a raid, log out of my death knight, and onto an alt, and then having my trial invite this alt - now we're 3 people in the raid, and I should be able to enter BWL with my alt, and have razorgore and Vael down - right?
So if I kick my death knight from the raid, and then kill a boss on this alt, this alt will now be saved to the instance with 3 bosses down right? My death knight will still only have two right?
So could I rinse and repeat this process for my other alts?

This sounds correct. Because the alt entered the raid before booting the initial character (DK), the lockout should still be active. But because the DK wasn't in the raid when the third boss was killed, it shouldn't be locked past the first two bosses. So the alt was able to skip past the first two bosses (by using the DK lockout), and the 2-boss and 3-boss lockouts will both be valid.

I ran into a problem. My trial account of course, can't invite players -.-

My death knight will still only have two right?Nope. While your ID in the raid lockout window will list only these two as defeated,
all raids prior to Icecrown Citadel do not actually support the personal ID system
(this includes all heroic dungeons, even Cata ones)
When your DK enters the instance again, you will see a notice that you entered an instance in progress, and you will not see bosses defeated on the alt anymore, and the DK can't even join a different ID where the first two bosses are down. This of course persists even when you reactivate the ID the next week.

Thank you! You just saved me the trouble of finding out AFTER I activated my trial account, to give this a shot :)

Well at least for testing you could've just used another player ;) someone in the guild or friend list who could "hold" the group for a minute.

I could. but that's not how I roll. I jump in, head first, both legs in, no turning back. I'm stupid like that.
