Question about RaF boosting 70-80

So a friend and I are currently boosting warriors through dungeons using the xp boost from RaF. We are currently 58 and just starting out in Outlands dungeons. So far, this method has worked beautifully with me just AoE'ing everything in sight with my 85 Warlock (made it to Outlands with roughly 10 hours /played). However, I've read in a couple of places that this method isn't the best for leveling through Northrend.
What did everyone who leveled through RaF do for these levels? Randoms? Just grind it out? I'd like to get to 80 as fast as humanly possible as we still want to get at least 2 more classes leveled before our xp bonus ends. Thanks!

Problem with your tactic is that with an 85 the triple exp isn't applied leveling the warriors together would be best. Me and a friend just leveled through northrend. We barely repeated any dungeons with no outside questing.
Good luck!

Actually it is as long as the toons on the linked accounts are within 3 levels and 100 yards of each other. It'll be reduced XP from having an 85 in the group, but the triple XP is still applied.
Edit: And thanks for the advice :)

Also, should monsters or quests be marked as low level or listed as gray in difficulty for either character, triple experience will not apply.
that is from the battle.net RaF FAQ. As you can see i was right, by taking a lvl 85 toon and leveling an RaF friend the triple is not applied until you start hitting like lvl 78 mobs which finally turn green for the 85.
Same thing applies with quests.
Yes, but only if both veteran and recruit characters are present for quest completion and if the monster or quest is not marked as low level (typically gray in difficulty, though sometimes green) for either linked character.
and i like how even you say they must be between 3 levels but then say you still get the triple exp with an 85 in the group..... pretty sure if your friend is lvl 60 85 - 60 is 25 and 25 > 3 in fact far greater than 3. Like i said for the triple experience it is best to run two characters together. sorry.
oh and blizzard's explanation of that.
No, but you must be within four (4) levels of one another and meet all other triple experience requirements in order for both characters to receive the experience boost. For example, your characters can be levels 5 and 9 and earn the bonus, but characters at levels 5 and 10 will not earn it.

dragonrom I think, from reading his OP a few times, he's got a second account which has his leveller on and his friend's account is linked to THAT one ("
we
are 58") not his main's account.
So he's running as a group of 3 with his 85 warlock on his main account and two current 58's on the other two, in which case so long as it's the other two that are linked the triple XP is fine.
You are correct Sir!
Dragon, I think this is where the confusion is, and for that I apologize for not being more clear with the wording in my post.

oohhh ok this makes sense then. i would say northrend you can still continue the same tactic however as a lock you are a bit squishy so you may not be able to do it so efficiently and may just be better doing LFD, however if you have a plate class then this tactic can work a lot better. Or you can always use your voidwalker i suppose.

Yeah I was gonna use my enhancement shammy (I've soloed all the 5 man heroics except for ICC), but with terrible AoE, I was worried it would slow us down significantly. Guess I'll just try a UK run on each and see how it goes. If nothing else, we'll just LFD.
