"Why not? I'm dead already." With a shrug Drakkus followed into the darkness of the deep, though not before waving to the zombies to stand by the entrance.

Drak'Theron Keep
Straz held up his false arm and muttered a word, causing flames to appear around it to light their way. His shadow servants followed, climbing on the walls and the ceiling of the tunnel, staying on just the edge of the light from Straz's flames.
"Hi ho...." Mathias said quietly.

The group exited out of the tunnel and stood in a large chamber; the top of it was lost in the gloom. Straz walked over to another of the walls and peered at them, seeing strange pictures and characters on the wall. "Think we might need a troll." He muttered, trying to puzzle out what it was saying.

"I'll see if any of the zombies are still articulate,"Drakkus replied, trotting back down the tunnel. He returned a minute later, a mostly intact troll following obediently at his heels.

Straz looked at the troll zombie then pointed at the wall. "Kindly translate that for us please; the stuff with the image that looks like the Prophet." He told it.
The troll leaned forward, and spoke slowly, with a monotone. "Prophet's....death....wakens....others....Loas....angry....." It said and shook it's head. "Trolls...return....take...back..." It trailed off and looked at the undead and the human. "No..more..."

"Well, I hope that was informative," Drakkus said, glancing at Mathias.

"Not even close." Mathias said, his eyes narrowed as he placed his flesh and blood hand onto the troll's shoulder. "Tell me the rest...now!" He barked, and seared the troll, sending the shadow flames deep into it. The beast yelped and shuddered then turned back to the wall.
"Trolls..know...who....buried here..." It gasped, shaking it's head. "Can't...tell....you...." It snarled.
"I see." Mathias said quietly, then heaved the troll into the far wall. "Go, get me a living troll now." He snarled at his servants, who shot from the room, heading for the outside. "Strange isn't it, how the dead always seem to fight back if we leave them a mind."

"I know. We're b!tchy like that, but it's part of our charm," Drakkus replied with a careless gesture.

I want this secret.
Straz thought, looking over at Drakkus while he waited for his servants to return.
It belongs to me, and if these second rate Scourge think I'm giving it up, I'll tear the entire group of them to pieces.
His face was still serene looking, even as his thoughts descend into gibberish.

It'll be easy. Just wait until the troll spills the information, then kill the bastard if it looks like it might become a threat. I can't afford to just let him walk away.
Drakkus thought, waving congenially at Straz.
It would just be a matter of time before we come to be at odds. So it makes no sense to let him become more powerful. Besides, I can always get the information the hard way if this doesn't work...
Drakkus trotted over to the troll zombie Straz had thrown, amusing himself by repairing it and sending it back outside to guard the door.

Sataira Hopewell
Howling Fjord
A presence... close... so close.
Sataira cracked her eyes open, the action taking all her strength and concentration.
She stared at the undead, leaning in close to her. If she had been standing, she would undoubtedly jump with fright.

"Hold that thought. Oi, you! She's awake!" The undead barked at Grimmalt.
The Vyrkul shot to his feet eagerly. "Thank the Death God! Lady Sataira? Are you well now?" Grimmalt asked desperately.

"You fell unconscious in the hall my Lady." Grimmalt looked up to the Dread Knight! "I am grateful for your assistance. It was... useful," the Vyrkul grudgingly said.
"Think nothing of it! It was a paltry task for, drrrrrrramatic pause,
The Dread Knight!
" The undead declared, hopping up on the table and thrusting his fists gloriously into in the air.
"Are you feeling alright, my Lady?" Grimmalt asked Sataira, ignoring the undead's grandstanding.

"Oh damn. Oh please don't say that," Grimmalt murmured, clasping his hands worriedly. "What's wrong? Do you need a healer my Lady? We can get one up here immediately, they're still working on the wounded from the cave in, but I'm sure we can convince one to come here!" the Vyrkul desperately prattled.
