I think it looks really cool--I do find it disappointing it's a store mount because everyone will have one. It's not that it loses its coolness, it's just that there will be a thousand of them in a row in Orgrimmar, and I like to see variety of any type of mount.
Hopefully someday they have enough store/common mounts that people will be able to ride a mixture. Definitely one of the cooler models they've released!
Hopefully with MoP they will have some recolored ones for meta achievements or a dungeon drop, because it reminds me of a Chinese dragon.

I dislike all the store-bought mounts. I've bought them all for achievements but, thanks to my GoGoMount add-on, never use them. It's not that everyone else has them, though that doesn't help, it's just that I think they look crap. The sparkle pony is for 10 year old girls, the disco lion looks like a 10 year old boy's equivalent, the fairy floss nag is just too effeminate for my liking and the gold dragon looks like a hugely overgrown stick insect and gets in the way worse than a tauren on a mammoth. Way too big.
All too garish and gaudy for my liking.
Just my two bob. =)

100 bonus honor if you kill someone riding a golden mount.
And 200 bonus honour to them when they destroy the person who attacks them based on a mount =P.
