he was from the UK, and you're from Canada
You've got the Queen on your money, you're British.
But on topic, it seems the XP for clvl 85-90 will be nicely inflated, making it easier to go from glvl 1-25, albeit the new levels for the guilds won't be. They may well hang on to that. Fingers crossed!

We have an inactive (bank) guild. It has char's in it from 5 accts. They are very sporadically active and 6 of the 20 members are lv 85, The guild was in existance when the guild leveling came into existance. They are currently level 5.

I would hope they do keep this. As it stands, starting a new guild is extremely difficult because you lack the good perks people looking for a guild want.
Yeah....no, that won't be making it to live lol; that's just for testing purposes.
You believe.

Best bet, since a level 1 quest giving 60 thousand guild exp is just crazy.

Low level quests are granting 60,000 guild xp per quest on live. Tested it myself on a fresh toon just rolled tonight; 9 quests completed, 540k guild xp gained.
Woo Hoo!
I fully anticipate this being nerfed but I'll ride this donkey till it drops.

Did not see that coming lol.

There's no way this isn't getting nerfed.

My educated guess for MOP are now:
1. Every quest will give between 40k and 60k from level 1 to 90.
2. There will be no daily cap or no reputation weekly cap.
3. The experience curve from 25-30 will be quite a bit steeper than 1-25. Maybe double (100m+ per level) so that it will take nearly as much experience to go from 25-30 as it takes to go from 1-25 (around 850m).
*cough*

So, I've noticed something else about this. This only seems to apply to quests which grant you experience
AND
are level appropriate.
This morning I hopped on the toon I rolled fresh last night. She hit level 15 by the end of the Worgen starting area thanks to heirlooms. I promptly took myself to the Dwarf starting area because I intended to Everyquest level her, and for the quick quest completion and guild xp. I picked up, completed and turned in the first quest; no guild xp gain. I tried the second quest; no guild xp gain.
I then logged onto a level 85 toon who is going back and doing Loremaster. I finished one quest in Hinterlands and turned it in; no guild xp gain.
Panicking, I tried one of my vanity-guild bankers, a level 1. Picked up, completed and turned in one quest; 60k guild xp gain.
I are sad puppy.

@ Gallumbits: It's always been quests that gave XP (and grey quests may give a tiny amount and so still make it), so it's business as usual as far as that is concerned.

Please, Eccentrica or Ecc.
Prior to yesterday my 85s were gaining at least some guild xp while doing Loremaster. Today, nada.

Copy that and that.

Considering this change went live with 5.0.4, I would say you are undeniably wrong.

Which if you looked up on this very page, I already admitted so.....

It took me 15 months (ended in March) to go from 1-25 solo and now it's complete easy mode, go figure =P

I know several people who solo leveled their bank guilds to 25 today through an exploit that hopefully gets hotfixed. It was kind of obvious that something was up when suddenly half a dozen level 25 guilds were for sale for 100k (about half of what they usually sell for on my realm) on trade chat today.

Yeah, it's been hotfixed already. When I read the above comment, the fastest, cheapest and simplest way occured to me instantly. I went to try it and it's been removed.
Damn.
Well, since it is no longer possible to do it, I'll spill the beans. Gerard Tiller in Elwynn Forest offered the repeatable quest, Give Gerard a Drink. The reward was an apple. So, you could stock up your bags with refreshing spring water and complete the quest until you were crippled with carpal tunnel syndrome.
As I said, it was fixed before I got there, so save your monies and your health.
Other repeatable quests could still work, although the only ones that cross my mind have a limit, unlike dear old Gerard.

This fishing contest barkers were also working exactly the same way. I was one of the people who mounted my big stupid mammoth and stood on the quest giver just to troll the cheaters.

Well, I started paying a bit of attention to my level 7 solo guild again, and got it to level 8 pretty quickly. That was simply doing the fishing, cooking, and Ramkahen dailies on several toons for several days. At 60K each, that's 240K for each of them, each day.
I do agree with someone who said that finishing all the Cata quests for each of them is better because you won't get burnt out so quickly, so I'm going to start doing that on some of them.
@Mairin: Congrats if you truly did 1-25 solo. Do you have any proof? 15 months sounds like a very short time.
Cheers.
