What do you think of every user on this forum?

Do you play the Pokemon or Legend of Zelda games?
I owned Pokémon Yellow, Gold and Pinball on Gameboy Color. I don't play any of them anymore. What do you think of every user on this forum?
Do you want an individual opinion on each member, or just a general overview of the community as a whole?

General overview would be nice.

Okay. This is a decent-sized community, and in my opinion, it covers a reasonable cross-section of demographics; apart from being concentrated around people aged 15-25.
Wowhead seems to be slightly more intelligent than the wider community; perhaps an average IQ here of 105. Certainly, there are some idiots here, but there are also some quite intelligent people. There are three people here (excluding myself) who I would consider to have
significantly
above-average intelligence: Sinespe; Squishalot; and Interest. Thror possibly rates up there as well, although I suspect that I would be able to judge this more accurately if English was his native language. I also think that there are a fair few people who think they are much more intelligent than they actually seem to be.
The community is much more politically aware than any other online community I have been a part of. Whether this is a good or bad thing, I haven't really decided.
Sometimes I /facepalm at the geekiness of some of the stuff that goes on here. I admit that I myself am a nerd, and that everyone else on this site has at least some level of nerd in them. It is, after all, a website dedicated to learning the intricacies of an online game which applies mathematical concepts. However, there is some stuff here (quite a fair bit, actually), that I simply dissociate with.
I find the community here to be quite squeamish about certain things. I think this can be attributed to the website's PG13 rating. But I also think the PG13 rating is what I like so much. Because while it certainly stifles me - a drinking, occasional drug-using, foul-mouthed, promiscuous adult - a bit, I believe that the rating and the resultant profanity filter is what keeps the quality of these forums so high. (Laugh all you like). The restrictions prevent this place from being a cesspit. People here generally don't sink to personal insults or the like when arguing a point. People are
generally
polite and rational.
Not quite sure if this is what you wanted, if you want more please say so.

Do remember, that IQ is not proportional with one's actual intelligence. IQ-tests reflect more one's abilities in logical inference and in basic puzzle-solving than actual wealth of mind. Intelligence is a subject of learning and knowledge, which cannot be measured with an IQ-test.
Okay, I probably fell in the "people who think they are much more intelligent than they actually seem to be" -category :P
However, I agree with most of this. I haven't been on these forums for long enough to know all the people here even remotely, but so far I've come pretty much to the same conclusion than you.
Now to my question.
What is your favourite kind of sweet? What kinds of sweets are there in Australia anyways? Are there like, chocolate kangaroos, or something?

Why can't one simply walk into Mordor?

I disagree.
Knowledge
, not intelligence, is a subject of learning; while intelligence is a subject of the brain's computational power - for example, logical inference and basic puzzle-solving. IQ stands for "intelligence quotient".
Now to my question.

I find it pretty funny when people assume that Australia is so extremely different to the rest of western society. Sure, we have different brands, have a few of our own pop culture icons and have our own popular sports. But on an overall, general level, we have the same things and do the same things as people, say, the US, Canada, UK or Germany.
As for what my favourite sweet is, I don't know. I love sweet things in general. I do enjoy a Cherry Ripe or a Boost Bar. Crunchie, Snickers and Mars also rate highly. Jaffers are also pretty fantastic. I love jelly babies, jelly beans (in fact, writing this has made me decide to pop down to Aldi and buy a bag) and Snakes Alive (or any other ripoff brand). I also love milkshakes and ice cream. My favourite milkshake flavour is probably lime, while my favourite ice cream flavours are mango, passionfruit and butterscotch. Why can't one simply walk into Mordor?
Because it doesn't exist.

Hmm, I kind of see what you are saying, but I still disagree in a sense. However, this is a very intriguing subject. With a quick google search I bumbed into
http://www.123test.com/is-iq-the-same-as-intelligence/
http://www.123test.com/what-is-iq-what-is-intelligence/
these articles, which I found rather interesting.
So regarding to my earlier post, it seems that I must take some of it back. However, if one measured the IQs of some randomly picked 3-year-olds, the results would be significantly lower, than if measured from a random group of educated 30-year-olds, wouldn't they? The subject of increased intelligence via learning would have an effect, wouldn't it? That's at least what's my idea of the phenomena.
Now to my question.

It was meant to be a sort of a sarcastic, even somewhat amusing ending ;] However, I received a sudden need to pick up some sweets from our closest store, too! Darn, I hate the northern weather on march...
How's the weather there? Like, right now.
Sort of masochistic to ask people to tell how great the weather is back in their end. After all, it's Australia.

Another misconception. Australia has weather variations, just like everywhere else.
Currently in Brisbane (approximately halfway down the east coast), it's 21°C (around 70°F) at 8pm. An hour or so ago we had a downpour of rain, so it's quite humid, but then it's always humid in Brisbane.

At least the weather there doesn't freeze your buttocks off. Well, I'm glad it's getting even a bit warmer here.

During winter in some inland places, it can dip as low as -10°C (+14°F), but that's a rarity. The coldest Brisbane would normally get in winter is around 10°C (54°F).

Random question: Have you checked out my blog?
(In before someone else attacks me for shameless advertising)

A) I have nothing against shameless advertising. I changed my signature so that this thread would get a bump. My prior signatures were attempts to get me more exposure on dA.
B) I briefly glanced at it once, but never made a commitment to sitting down and reading it. IIRC, it's about software and things, isn't it?

Boobs or ass?
Post by

We might be pushing the boundaries a bit here Mr Azazel, but just quickly; boobs are the 5th most important physical thing, while arse is around the 7th or 8th most important. So boobs.

Hey, it's a legitimite(spelling?) question! It's very important :P

Programming, WoW, video game reviews, etc.

Fair enough. Not things that interest me terribly much these days. That said, you might be able to help me with something video game related, so we'll pop over to your Q&A.Hey, it's a legitimite(spelling?) question! It's very important :P
Close. It's legitimate.
