First off, wow will be picking rift out of its teeth after a month or so mark my words. As for GW2, it looks good but its simpley not the same as wow, theur abolishing the whole tank healer dps system, putting a lot more focus on questing. Its more like an RPG that a lot of people play together than a traditional MMORPG.
Yes wow is goingt hrough a dry patch atm but you just have to wait for new content, thats how MMOs work

It sounds like you just need to find a new game. Most people are perfectly happy playing WoW right now.

Personally, i think Blizzard will stop producing the game before it actually dies. It's sitting on a 7-digit playerbase, and as such, Blizzard can do pretty much anything and still have millions of player left.
In case you didn't know, patch 4.1 is coming (soon) with improvements to the LFD system, aswell as two "new" revamped dungeons.
And tell me, have you defeated every Cataclysm raid boss currently in game? Didn't think so. If you don't like raiding, fair enough, but you need to bear in mind that the game largely based on PvE.
Just because
you
don't like the path the game is taking, it doesn't mean it's dying.
As for the new games, RIFT is a good game, and Guild Wars 2 looks good, but neither has those years of polishing that WoW has had. That's why they game won't be "killed" by any single game. You can't make up for years of continued development with a newly released game.
Edit: Please, if you have some suggestions on how to improve the game, do share!

@OP: Take all things in moderation, even World of Warcraft.
Sounds to me like you're spending entirely too much time playing the game. I'm still experiencing new things in Cata every week. Maybe play less, or if you're intent on getting the most bang for your buck then you could complete everything quickly and then take a break. Just a suggestion.

I kinda do agree though the rate that new patches come out is pretty slow. Rift was able to launch with pretty much no problems (there was plenty of servers at launch they were throttling players going in) and a month later they come out with a new patch.
Rift is about as polished as wow if not more wow still has bugs I have found 1 bug in Rift so far and that an unkillable mob.

True, but keep in mind, the word "release" is the key word for Rift.

theres NOTHING to do in the game then pvp (wich gets boring pretty fast imo) dailys & raids
That's different from earlier expansions and the original game
how
exactly?
I haven't played Rift. I've played Aion and a number of other MMOs. What you just described is, well - every MMO out there. You go do quests, you do dailies for gold/resources, you raid or do dungeons, and you PvP if you're interested.

the thing that WoW has and no other game has managed is a cult following, many people would have gone from warcraft to WoW rift is trying to do this but i think they are failing at it, and as well WoW is idiot freindly, easy to get and you dont have to balance everything 1 millions times. as well as the talent system, yes i think rifts idea is nice, but means that there realy is no class just things your doing at the time, were as WoW you know what you are, and you have to learn to play like that so a hunter isnt melee and a rogue isnt range

They released a terrible expac,
It has its warts, to be sure, but terrible? No. It re-did 1-60 in a way that makes leveling an alt or first character enjoyable. I just think so much work went into the 1-60 experience that the 80-85 experience took a bit of a hit.
I think Blizzard needs an alternative to the level cap game (i.e. running heroics and raids) for those players that don't find any enjoyment in it. I don't view achievement grinding, pet collecting, or dailies to be that alternative; they are things to do on the side. What it could be, I'm not really sure, but such a solution could only help the game.
I actually liked the 80-85 questing system.
The content is pretty good too, the problem is there wasn't anything amazingly revolutionary: everything is pretty much a "more of the same" thing at the level cap, which IS a problem. (Wanna see more? Check my sig)

I agree, they need to be creative and come up with a more solo friendly endgame that doesn´t involve running dungeons with strangers. The dailies currently in the game all seem focused on getting your reps so you can get gear to qualify for heroic dungeons. There really isn´t a lot of thought or story progression in the dailies.
Currently the game is log in, queue for heroic, run daily and fishing daily while in queue, if the queue is especially high, do a couple TB dailies.. do my heroic... than afterwards if the time close, stay logged in and do the actual TB fight. Don´t get me wrong, that is a pretty efficient way to play.. but I am basically looking the future.. will that be what I am doing for the next two years.
