I would like to know some of you and slap you in the face.
And I'd like to meet you and slap you in the face, for thinking that your opinion is the only one which is right. For thinking that because you feel the need to loot, all people must feel the need to loot.

I agree that it's silly not to loot your mobs- you'd be surprised how fast the gold adds up from vendor trash. I understand that some people don't have the bag space, if they need to keep 3-4 sets of gear, but other than that I think you're handicapping yourself when you don't loot.
On dungeon runs, I have to agree that it is rude for people to expect you to wait for them to skin every single mob from every single trash pull. Skinning isn't the same as looting- there's a cast bar for every mob. So if we have to wait for you to skin 5 corpses, every single trash pull, that's more than a couple of seconds. I am a miner, and I usually skip the 2-3 nodes that are in some dungeons, because I don't like to make the rest of the group wait for me. I can't imagine asking people to wait for an additional 20-25 seconds after every single trash pull so I can skin everything- but maybe that's just me.
That being said, I don't try to make it more difficult for people who are skinning, or rant and rave at them. I completely understand skinning the bosses who have a good chance to drop whatever the rare leather is that expac. I just think it's rude to do it to the extent that you are significantly slowing down the dungeon run for the other 4 people.

DPS job to loot , thats just my opinion
Got your tank to keep mobs on him building up threat while the healer is healing the tank gives you about 5-10 seconds for dps to loot/skin/mine whatever.
If 2 out of the 3 dps don't care to loot - then you SOL buddy - Either you get left behind or someone will be talking crap about how slow and craappy your DPS is..
In your situation, I'd get through the heroic and deal with skinning at a hot spot outside the instance! I'm sure there are plenty. Greatest thing about that is that you aren't sharing loot with anyone which means more gold for you.

As a hunter, it really doesn't take away any DPS time to skin. There are usually only 1-2 mobs if at all that I can skin anyway out of a pack. It takes maybe 5-6 seconds to loot, skin, and get within 40 yards of my next target.
helps if needed.
It pretty selfish to purposefully not loot so someone can't skin. I understand if its a problem of bagspace why you don't loot but to purposefully not just to spite skinners is D-baggery at it's finest.
I might ask people to loot if they're not, but I won't make any kind of deal about it.
Would you get pissed at a miner or herbalist if they grabbed a node?
I'm sorry
(no I'm not) but complaining about the 3 seconds before a DPS gets into the fight is just petty and immature.
I bet you're the guy who lets the door shut on the pregnant woman walking in behind him. Or the person who walks right by an old lady trying to pick up everything she just dropped out of her shopping bag.
I can't stand D-bags like this.
Common courtesy is not so common sometimes. But hey, that's just the WoW community for you.

What really gets to me is, these same people who "can't be bothered" to loot things will also 9 times out of ten be the exact same people who:
Complain because they don't have enough gold for training their riding to (whatever level).
Complain because "It's sooo hard to get gold in this game! WaaaH!"
Make excuses for why they don't gem or enchant their gear because "It's too expensive! I can't afford it! Now can I borrow 50 gold for repairs for the raid tonight?" (Because their sub-par performance is gonna lead to a lot of wipes you know).
Bum flasks off of other people, instead of making or buying their own, IF they even bother with flasks.
They'll also complain that bags are too expensive, and the reason they "can't" loot things is because they have no bag space in their 16-slot bags. Newflash, sparky, if you looted things, you'd have more gold, and maybe you could buy a better bag.
Loot, don't loot, your choice.
But if you start whining to me about not having any gold, don't expect any sympathy.

Auto loot on. It's the first thing I set when I start a new toon. So used to it that sometimes, when emptying bags, I'm positively surprised to see a blue that I didn't even noticed. "Nice, wonder what mob dropped it"
People not looting? Ok, so they will not have that little extra gold that is always welcome. They are hurting themself, not me.
About me, if I see sparkles, I will loot. No matter what.
About skinning... meh, got used to it. When in dungeon I usually skin only one or two mobs, when I can.
If I really needs skins, there is plenty of mobs outside.
Auto Loot = ON
Saves so much time!
Loot, don't loot, your choice.
But if you start whining to me about not having any gold, don't expect any sympathy.

But your arguments are still "I do what I want, I don't want to help other people" which is not very nice...
It isn't . My argument is 'I don't loot because I don't feel the time is worth the gold earned.'
So yeah.

Because looting causes inflation. Nobody wants that.
