Funden isn't a fundie. Lawl.
I'm wondering if you're saying it's funny that I say I'm not a fundie or if you're confirming it =P

Your parents really do seem like a sad situation...
Threaten them with suicide or cutting or something like that.

Threaten them with suicide or cutting or something like that.Heh, thanks to my disturbed mind, I have briefly considered that. If I hung myself and left a note saying "God wants you to suffer" or something like that, I could hurt them in ways they can't even imagine.
But that's because I have problems, and while I may see it in deranged fantasies, I'd never go through with that.

On topic.
People who can't think for themselves disgust me. I'm about as tolerant as you can get. The only thing I can honestly say I truly detest without any exceptions are bigots who don't even think for themselves. The bizzare thing is that they say
I'm
the one that buys into all the rhetoric. You know, right after they go off about how Darwinism leads to atheism leads to fascism leads to genocide.
Wow. That's pretty funny when you realize they don't know what they're talking about. Hitler was a racist, that's why he committed genocide, not because he was a fascist. And darwinism leads to atheism because its proven fact. Not to say that god definitively doesn't exist, because you really can't prove that. However, it certainly didn't happen like it says in the bible.
Edit:Funden isn't a fundie. Lawl.

No I just thought it was funny that your name is funden and you're not a fundie. First 4 letters being the same and all. Wasn't making a point, just sounded silly to me.

Not necessarily. I believe in evolution but I'm not atheist.

I meant that evolution is proven fact, and atheism, in my oppinion, just seems like a religion that is all about proven facts. Therefore, they share that link, and logical peoplewho are still open to interpretation find that link and become atheists.
Notice I say still open to interpretation because if you're already religious you aren't going to be debased from your religion because of the link, similarly to you Funden.

Because they most certainly have not evolved biologically much since then.

So I'm illogical?

If I would have had parents like that I would have just left them and walked away. Just can't stand people like that.

Evolution is proven fact
How so?Well, it's in about as much contention in the scientific community as the Theory of Heliocentrism.
If I would have had parents like that I would have just left them and walked away. Just can't stand people like that.I'm almost there.
Thing is, I do love them, and normally they're almost pleasant to be around, but if politics or religion comes up, you can guarantee it will end with me frothing at the mouth and them smirking smugly.

No, look at the disclaimer below. You're religious already, so you aren't looking for another belief system such as atheism. If you haven't been practicing a religion already and are looking for the most logical belief, you'll see that it's atheism. It's parsimony.
Evolution is proven fact
How so?
It's proven by DNA. If they were wrong about DNA, we wouldn't have a gene therapy for people with sickle cell disease.
...Well, for mice anyway. It works in mice, it just has yet to have a human trial so far, according to the first three google links I wasn't too lazy to look at. And by look at I mean read the first sentence under each link...
But anyway, I'm taking a nap now. If I don't respond it's not because I don't want to respond, it's because I'm falling unconcious and hallucinating vividly for the next hour.

You wouldn't though, because its' your parents, and not random people / friends.
Trust me I probably would.

I'm fairly sure they don't want to cure that, as it prevents malaria.
No, look at the disclaimer below.
Alright. The post seemed a little confusing.
Also, heliocentricism is
HERESY!

Doesn't make it true though does it?Well, I suppose consensus does not objectively make it true, no, but it's as proven as a scientific fact can get. Research and discoveries across all sorts of different scientific fields, from genetics, to geology, to chemistry support it.
IIRC, you already believe it, so I don't have to convince you, but there's all sorts of different proofs, from analyzing genetic markers on the DNA molecules itself, to using a live animal to determine relatedness (by putting a bit of one animal's tissue in the blood of a live animal, like a rabbit, and then examining the immune response when the tissue of another animal is later introduced), to finding fossils in different rock strata, to experimental evidence, like the E. Coli that evolved the ability to metabolize citrate in a lab.
