just some minor problems with your logic, if the ghost stealths master Chief or any Spartan for that matter wouldn't know he was there until after the Ghost sniped his head off, that is assuming Spartans don't count as detectors
well who says john cant stealth too... the 3rd generation of spartans had SPI Armor Mark II which has stealth capabilities. he can switch armor and go stealth battle. master chiefs is 2nd generation, his current Armor is MJOLNIR Mark VII Powered Assault Armor which is the general ima run ur ass over amour... if he can survive atmospheric insertion in this armor highly doubt your M-920 Cain could do some damage. anyways he can dodge this stuff to ya know, he has like 6 times the reaction time of humans and can dodge missiles =PHow do you change armor in the middle of a warzone?
And yes, Funden, you must play Mass Effect as soon as possible, and I mean that literally. As soon as it is physically possible for you to play Mass Effect, you must do it. You must.
You must
. And I personally recommend using a mirror or digital camera and modelling your character as closely after yourself as possible, then giving yourselves traits and making decisions that
you
would, were you in that situation. That what I did, and it made the whole game a lot more personal than if I had just chosen a generic Shepard.

Ghost would probably win. I don't see how you would beat something that could drain your shields and then blow your brains out. Motion tracker would be useless if the ghost was far enough out.
Engineer Shepard would eat the face off either of them though. Infiltrators are a fun class, but nothing competes with Tungsten Ammo Mattock while distracting the enemy with an Explosive Drone and overloading their shields and/or incinerating their armor. By far my favorite class, and I've played them all except for Adept (which will be my next playthrough once I manage to get through ME1 again.. ME1, why does your combat system suck so badly compared to 2's?)

By all means, keep the heat sinks, but they should let us keep firing on we're out, just at the risk of majorly overheating our weapons.

Which is why you use observation and a sniper rifle ;)

Master chief would prob win or lose...out of the spartans linda would so own any ghost wit her SRS999-S2 sniper rifle anway.... no one has a chance she ulti sniperI don't know. Ghosts are pretty badass snipers too.
And Spectres... >.>
It all depends on who's hunting whom. If the Spartan is just skipping along and the Ghost was sent down to assassinate them, the Spartan would have no way of seeing it coming. If the Spartan was using a cloaking suit and on a mission to assassinate the Ghost, it'd be hard to find the Ghost, but since he/she isn't expecting it, the Spartan would have the upper hand.

Good luck killing someone with your fist when they're two miles away and invisible.

why does it seem that im the only one going for the spartans =(Well, for one, I'm not really a fan of Halo.
For two, I think both have strengths and weaknesses and I think a question of "Who would win," is too difficult to answer without knowing the circumstances.

Same; Master Chief is the elite of the elite....but his fellow Spartans fell like lumber to the Covenant Onslaught that eradicated Reach....and yes, we've seen the non-named Ghosts fall to the Zerg onslaught as well; but unlike Chief, they aren't the last of their kind. Still more of them out there.

Have you read
Fall of Reach
? If you had, you'd know this statement is false.
Also, if you knew stuff about Halo, again, you would know there were more Spartans after the Spartan - II's, which the Cheif was part of.
