Edit: Oh, and btw Koper, the sticky thread achievement should not be eligible to administrators, since they can stick tthe threads themselves, or at least have an influence on the matter :-(
If you're thinking of achievements in such a way as to try to figure out who
doesn't
deserve certain achievements, I'd say you're not really thinking about this in the spirit in which it was intended.
This is less about being a contest and more about each user being able to show off their contribution to Wowhead. Each achievement was designed to be obtainable by our users. Gold achievements were intended to be achieved by a small percentage of our user population for incredibly focused and worthwhile efforts on the site. In the case of most of our sticky posts, they fit into that categorization. I suppose we could remove credit for stickies that exist just to notify the users about something if users really think that is so unfair as to ruin the spirit of achievements, but it doesn't really feel like something that would or should affect how users go about getting achievements.
In addition, as Koper said, there are achievements that employees cannot get at all. If any of us reported a comment for moderator action instead of just moderating it, we wouldn't be doing our jobs effectively. If any of us won a contest while employed here, that'd be illegal. In the end, we don't care about not being able to achieve these goals, though. First and foremost, achievements are for you guys. :)

Well, i have an idea for an achievement.
Silver, One of a kind: The icon that you use on the forums (like mine being the necklace) must be unique.

Seems fair, since we can't get
A WINNAR IS YOU
and
Hardcore Reporter
(or I guess we can get that last one, or at least Gnub got it).
:P
Miyari isn't loved
:(

That's all true, but, for example, the person who created the "Helpful Threads" sticky was simply doing the job, not contributing to the content.
@rodmin The one of a kind would have to exclude custom avatars by premium users or it would just be an automatic award as anything someone uploads is necessarily unique.

So why does Miyari have the first achievement?

Also, wow. You really need to add tag support for achievements if you have to write all that every time you want to pretty-refer to a website achievement.

It would be awesome to have in-game achievements in WoWhead. Blizzard is so big and isnt really planning on updating some achievements that we'd like. But WoWhead is much smaller and capable of fulfilling this demand.
Basically, use your data gatherer thing (never used it so bear with me) to link to your account while you play. It can keep track of things youve done in the game world and post wowhead achievements on the site.
For things like rare spawns. There are no achievements for rarespawns outside of the expansions, and i see alot of them. It'd be cool to get an achievement for every so many i kill.

So I sent an email to feedback@wowhead.com on Thursday regarding an achievement I should have and I haven't received a response or anything. Did the email address go away along with Malgayne?
Nah, Fewyn is reviewing those emails with a little help from me from time to time. :)

You should just make a global replace s/wowhead/Wowhead/gi for that.

for Autobiographer, just go on edit settings, resubmit your sig, icon and personal message, and then it should work.
Nope, still isn't working. Resubmitted all 3 and still didn't receive the achievement.
Anyone else having this issue?
still not working for me either

I r a sad panda when I can't hear the achievement *dings* on Firefox 4.0b11...
I'm running AdBlock (which has been disabled on Wowhead) and NoScript (only blocking quantserve.com).
There's this special tingle I get when the achievement sound dings in WoW, it pretty much says "Duuude! You just did something and got some special stuff in return! Duuuuuuude!".
(In short: I can't hear the achievement music/jingle/dingle/dongle/whatever sound)
