NO NO NO NO NO NO NO, HYPER, YOU CAN'T BE KILLING OTHER RPS. WAIT, WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS, YOU DON'T RP ON THE FORUMS ANYWAY. OKAY, MAYBE YOU DO, BUT NOT VERY WELL.
Well. Forget those thoughts for a few moments because I will not, not allow this idea to leave my head. The story is a combination of ideas that form a sandbox RP that also has somewhat of a driving force to keep it from going to stale in the water. Yay. I will try to keep up.
As the cataclysm strikes the world and everyone is thrown into utter disarray, some people have recovered quicker than others. Unfortunately, among those are the money-makers never sated with their riches and often enjoy watching other people suffer for their amusement. With arenas closed to be repaired or otherwise obliterated off the face of the planet, tycoons have turned away from gladiatorial combat to quench their lustful thirsts.
Instead, some sort of underground connection has set up a sort of a game in the wake of the recent shattering. Only two months into reconstruction, certain individuals have received letters, inviting them into what has been called 'The Killing Games'. These invitations include a list of other people in the game and the instructions.
Rules are very simple. The Killing Games has simply turned the broken world of Azeroth into an open arena. The last person standing in this large manhunt is to be lavished in riches beyond their imagining. There's only one catch.
You can't get out.
There's no way to erase your name, no way to bargain out of the games. You're a target. You kill or you start living your life in hiding, trying to keep from having a dagger lodged between your shoulders, or a spell blasting your head open, or any other type of gruesome death.
To add insult to injury, these tycoons, nobles, thoughtless rich men and women have chosen people from all over the world, from trained killers to peasants. The blood will flow, and somehow the gamemasters will be watching the whole thing.
Honestly, this RP is very simple. It is a sandbox with a main story. You can choose to play as someone who has received an invitation to the Killing Games, or someone who has not. It is up to you entirely. The setting is, as said, two months after the Shattering has struck, that means that most towns afflicted are in ruins still and a lot of places are still rebuilding.
I will post in a bit.

Characters
: Nova Terra and Rheyana Stormfeather
Location
: Darkshore
Description
:
Nova was a young Gilnean farm girl, only around fifteen, before the worgens came with their curse. She was bitten as she evacuated her home with her parents, who were both killed. Easily captured, she was eventually given the potion to restore the mind. After the evacuation of Gilneas following the Forsaken invasion, she found herself in Darnassus, where she eventually came across Rheyana, a Wildhammer shaman who was in the world tree when the elementals invaded. The two made a quick friendship, as Rhey became a sort of motherly figure to Nova.
The worgen girl, in her human form, has a slight albino feel to her. Her skin is an unnatural pale, her hair stark white and falling to her shoulders -- cleanly cut, and her eyes are a slight ruddy bronze. She is small and petite, with two puncture scars on her shoulder where she was originally bitten. Her worgen form is small as well, by the standards of the lupine people, with snow white fur, actual red eyes, and ivory claws. She is not much of a fighter now that the beast is not in control of her mind, and is usually timid and shy.
Rheyana on the other hand is a blunt, straight-forward dwarf. Short and stocky she has toned muscles that are excellent for holding up her shield and mace as she commands the elements. She had brownish-red hair that is tied back into multiple braids that fall down her back by silver bands. She also has a hairclip forged into the shape of a hammer that keeps her bangs out of her face.
Oddly enough, it was Nova to get an invitation to the Killing Games instead of Rhey. The dwarf now serves as a bodyguard with fear for her friend's life.
---
Rheyana pushed the oar through the waters until the small canoe slammed up against the dusty grey shore with a thud. The dwarf set down the oar and looked over her shoulder at Nova, the small girl tapping her fingers together as she read over the paper in her lap.
"'Ey lass, don't go worryin' about that now. Come on, Lor'danel is up ahead, and we promised we'd deliver them supplies," Rhey said, picking up one of the few crates stacked in the small boat.
"All right..." Nova pursed her lips, pale cheeks flushing pink as she picked up one of the smaller boxes and slipped out of the canoe with the dwarf.

Ashepta and Ashorn Whitehoof
Southern Barrens
Brother and sister, the two sunwalkers have recently fled from the ravaged Taurajo. Muln's personality is reflected in his weaving of the light, a patient and calm healer who has sympathy even for the wounded of the enemy. Ashepta, to contrast, is bitter about the fall of Taurajo, and is quick to take a chance to avenge it and show retribution. The two actually have black hooves.
Ashepta grunted as an arrow caugh in her armor.
"Down!" she shouted as the two dove into cover. It took a few minutes for them to realize there was only a stray arrow.
"Are you alright?" Ashorn asked.
Ashepta spun around, trying to find the arrow. "I can't tell."
Ashorn stood up, and pulled the arrow out of the rear of her armor, expertly wedged just in between her breastplate and her shoulder plate. It had a scroll on it, small print, but in tauraje:
You have been cordially invited to the killing games. There is no choice. Kill your targets, or die. The victor will earn rewards untold in their number.
The list scrolled on for quite a while, names and places extending for quite a bit.
Ashorn frowned and Ashepta snatched the paper from him before gasping.
"Is this some kind of joke?"

Nova and Rheyana approached Lor'danel, the once small village now bustling with the destruction of Auberdine. Refugees were pouring in and a pair of Sentinels stopped the two travelers. The worgen girl, in her human form, glanced down at her feet over the box in her hands and shifted awkwardly.
"Business?" one of the Sentinels drilled.
"Just 'ere to drop off some supplies, lassies, straight from Darnassus ta help with the survivors," Rhey explained, and it was enough for the two night elves, who parted to allow passage for the worgen and dwarf to head to the inn.

(( Nova Terra? R.I.P. Ghost...
On a side note, this seems like it was made just for Morec and Vrem! Homocidal maniacs can
coexist
kill everyone in sight! ))
Characters:
Morec, House of Rivendare
,
Vrem Dartskul
Location: Undercity, Alterac Mountains
Races: Forsaken Humans
Classes: Death Knight, Hunter
Description:
Morec and Vrem were once allies, but after an ally of both of them - a Forsaken mage named Sithia Frozenbone - was captured, brutally murdered, and then put into an eternal state of True Death by the Scarlet Crusade, the two went their own ways - but not before killing every single Scarlet Crusader in sight on a mission to reclaim Sithia's body.
Morec is a powerful death knight with a fractured mind. He claims to hear voices - two, to be exact - and sometimes pretends he is still alive. He also has a tendincy to attempt to be funny - keyword being attempt. If one can tolerate him and he does not attempt to kill them, he can - arguably - be a fairly pleasent fellow. Despite this, he is a vicious, cold-hearted, evil murderer. He is skilled in unholy magic and used blood and frost-based spells to supplement the power of necromantic abilities.
Vrem is a much like Morec, but far less jolly. A cold, unfeeling Forsaken, he serves only one purpose; the will of the Banshee queen to see all life exterminated. With his three pets - a plague-dog named Marrow, an undead eagle named Rottalon, and an undead panthar named Deathpelt - he scours Azeroth, searching for any form of life to slay, often taking trophies in the form of skulls or other identifyable body parts. His weapon of choice is a large rifle, but he is also skilled with smaller firearms and the use of an axe in melee combat.
"Dear Blah, blah, blah, blah, blahblahblah," Morec read over the letter he had recently obtained - and by that, he meant stole from a slain courier. "Kill everyone you meet, RICHES BEYOND YOU IMAGINATION!" Morec jumped up, picking up the recently severed heard of a scarlet crusader a making it look at the letter.
"Check this our Phil!" he exclaimed. "I get to kill people! And get paid!"
"That's not all that different from what you already do,"
the italicized voice in his head said.
"Yeah, but still... Okay, I've got nothing."
"By the way, that head as no eyes,"
a bodler voice in the death knight's mind said.
Morec looked at the crusader head. It was true, it had no eyes. He had forgotten he had tore then out some time ago. "Oh," Morec threw the head away. "Still! We should attend!"
"Are you sure that's a good idea? We might die?"
"We're already dead!"
"True. Let's go!"
---
Vrem read the letter he had recived. He cared not for the riches, or any of the other comodities that the writter of the summons promised. All he cared for was the possibility to kill the living, kill them in his queen's name.
He stood up, and began to gather his best and most favored weaponry from a shelf. Behind him, his pets began to gather. "We have killing to do," he said in a monotone voice. His pets - Marrow, Rottalon, and Deathpelt - all resounded with their own particular battle cry, be it a howl or a screech.
Once he had everything he needed the Forsaken hunter and marksman set out, his three pets following behind him.

Character
: Kevin "Anthony" Argon
Location
: Stormwind
Race
: Human
Class
: Mage/Warrior
Age
: 18
Description
:
Kevin has short blond hair and blue eyes. He is currently studying the arcane in Stormwind and has a knack for it but often fails the exams because of his lack of confidence. Kevin is also one half of a split personality caused from being bullied most of his life though he knows nothing about it thinking he suffers from blackouts and when he regains consciousness he can't remember anything that happened. He's other half is called Anthony and often appears in fights. He has very little knowledge of magic preferring to fight with a sword hidden in Kevin's staff. Anthony is cold and methodical in fights believing that those who bullies others don't deserve to exist. Anthony is aware of Kevin but refuses to make himself known wishing rather to stay hidden within his psyche.
Kevin sat outside on a bench outside the mage tower that laid in the center of the mage district. "Third times a charm." He muttered aloud as he stared at the ground having failed his final exam again. "Who ever said that was an idiot." He said as he stood up and made his way out of the district. He looked at the sealed letter in his hand as he walked having not read it yet since he didn't want anything to distract him. "Couldn't get much worse." He thought as he opened the letter and began to read it.

Nova and Rhey made several trips between their canoe and Lor'danel, but eventually all the crates they had brought from Darnassus were now being eagerly opened by the kaldorei citizens. Medical supplies were passed out to priests for salves and potions, food was given for the starving refugees, and weapons were unpacked for the Sentinels in their defense against the encroaching water elementals.
The dwarven shaman sat down at a table inside the elven inn, as Nova took a seat on the other side of the table, fiddling with her hair. As Rhey ordered some ale for herself and a glass of moonberry juice for Nova, the worgen girl finally found her voice, "What do you think it means, Rhey?"
"The letter, lass?"
"Yeah..."
"Ya kin' be sure it ain't no joke, lass, but ya don't have ta worry 'bout it. I'll make sure ya don't get hurt, Nova. Some sick person in this world decided that it would be amusing ta put ya into something dangerous. I'm goin' ta show them back that you don't mess with someone guarded by a Wildhammer dwarf!" Rhey explained.
Nova managed a small smile, "Thank you, Rhey."
"It be nothin', lass, now look, our drinks are here!" the dwarf said calmly as the kaldorei waitress came back with their orders.

Ashepta and Ashorn Whitehoof
Southern Barrens
"If we make our way to Thunder Bluff we should be fine." Ashorn suggested.
"Or we could punish whoever set out on such a cruel game."
"That wouldn't be wise."
"It's much better than being dead." Ashepta snapped.

Character
: Ahanu Whitehorn, Lisciel Dawnchaser
Description
:
Ahanu, a tauren warrior and Lisciel, a blood elf mage, met at the Argent Tournament shortly after a squad of Scourge undead ambushed the former and almost killed him, were it not for the Argent Crusaders who saved his life. This made Ahanu change his ways and turn from an ill-tempered engine of Horde's will to a more complicated individual, as well as pick up An'she worship as the deity represented all the ideals Ahanu's saviors had. In the Tournament that attracted attention of a Sunreavers member, Lisciel, who at first was just curious, but eventually formed a close friendship with the tauren. The two even participated in Icehowl's capture and subduing.
Prior to the Shattering, Ahanu joined the Sunwalkers, and Lisciel decided to accompany his friend while the latter learns the way of a paladin. He saved the tauren's life a couple of times, so when the letter came to Lisciel, Ahanu felt obliged to help the elf, despite Lisciel's objections.
Ahanu is nine-feet tall brown-and-white furred tauren, with his right eye missing and only stubs left of his white horns, covered by golden disks. He carries a gargantuan
two-handed axe
and is clad in Coliseum's champion armor. Lisciel is much shorter and more frail than Ahanu (despite being a far more fearsome opponent), has viridian almond-shaped eyes and long pale-blond hair. He wields a
long staff
with a horse's head and two wings atop it, and wears violet-and-white Dalaran archmage's outfit.
Ahanu always emphasises one word in a sentence if it is at least three words long. It annoys Lisciel, but the elf can do nothing about it.
Location
: Southern Barrens
"You
still
haven't told me what are you going to do about the letter."
"Look, I'm not gonna wander the world slaughtering everyone I see who's in that piece of parchment, okay?"
"Someone
will
choose such a path."
"Then they deserve to have some crap kicked outta their heads, eh? As for the others... You know what, if I find those organising the game, I'm gonna melt their faces alright."
"Not before
I
cleave them."
The elf laughed, then peered into the distance - on the road two tauren walked.
"Looks like we've met other gamers already..."
"Them? They are sunwalkers, like
me
. I'm sure they will make the
right
choice. Let
me
do the talking. Ahoy there,
friends
!" - yelled Ahanu.

The two sat in silence as they finished off their drinks, Nova glancing up at Rhey, "So now where are we going to go?"
"I 'eard that the elves secured some other supplies from ta Barrens, but ta Horde blockade in Ashenvale is makin' it impossible ta get ta 'em. Maybe we can help'm out their too," Rhey suggested and Nova reluctantly agreed, a tad scared of heights offered by hippogryphs.
After the dwarf had another drink, okay, maybe two more, the pair headed off to the hippogryph master who lent them off two of the beasts to head over to the Barrens. Soon Nova and Rhey were shooting through the skies, the shaman enjoying every moment, and Nova attempting to hold on for dear life.

Morec sat waitng for the zepplin to Orgrimmar. To pass the time he had brought a new Crusader head with him. "What's up?" he asked the severed head.
It said nothing.
"Oh come on, we're both dead. Let's put our differences aside!"
The head still said nothing.
Morec scowled. "Fine, be that way! Go long!" He then drop-kicked the head as far as he could to the west.
---
Vrem, meanwhile, made the slow trek towards Tirisfal Glades on foot. Rottalon, Marrow, and Deathpelt all accompanied him. He said nothing, and his only thoughts were on how he would deal with the living when he found them. So many possibilities, so few to use before they expire.

"N-no," Nova stuttered. "H-hey, Rhey? Why don't you have a gryphon like other dwarves?"
Rhey turned her head forward as her face fell, "It's a long story, lass. I'll tell ya some other time."
Nova bit on her lower lip and nodded glumly as the border to Ashenvale approached.

"This has to be some joke." He said as he reread the letter. "Not falling for it." He said as he lit the paper on fire and let it burn up to ashes before continuing his walk. He stopped when he noticed a women running up to him. She had long brown hair and green eyes and was 1 year younger then him. "What's up Sarah?" He asked. "I got us a job." She said stopping in front of him. "Where going to the barrens." She said holding up the flier. "But that's near the horde. The same horde that wants to kill us." He said starting to get nervous. Sarah rolled her eyes and grabbed his sleeve and started to pull him back towards the mage tower. "Stop being such a baby. Besides will be far from them and you might actually grow a spine." She said.
