I've had it happen to me a few times and I take advantage of it. I had somebody whisper me asking me to cyber with them when I went through Goldshire (leveling a human female in the human starting zone is...dangerous). I whispered back if they had the gold I had the time and they gave me 100 gold. I laughed and said they were a loser and left. They said they would report me and I just responded along the lines of: "Go ahead and tell the GM you were offering me gold to cyber with you and I took the gold."
You know, I wonder if he really tried to report me, I sure never got in trouble.

This have never happened to me (oh thank god).
BTW, is it normal for a girl to only roll males? :D
Not from what I know, but then again, only Acti-Blizzard keeps statistics on such things. From personal experience, girls tend to roll females. I have heard many guys say (in order to try to justify playing females): "If I have to stare at the @ss of something all day, I would rather have it be a chick than another guy."

Only once, a couple of years ago when I made my first female character. It went something like this:
SomeGuy: hey sexy
Me: I beg your pardon?
SomeGuy: wanna cyber?
Me: Absolutely not, also I'm male.
SomeGuy: eww
Similar event with my brother.
SomeGnome: hey hows it going sexy?
Bro: <nothing>
SomeGnome: you young and sexy in real life too?
Bro: <nothing>
SomeGnome: What, you got something against short people?
Bro: I'm a 30+year old guy weighing in over 100kgs
SomeGnome: <nothing>
Bro: What, you got something against fat people?

Win. That is all. I love when people turn the tables on these idiots.

Female IRL here who plays mostly female toons. Hilariously enough (to me, anyway) the only time I've ever been flirted with in-game was when a human paladin followed my female tauren hunter around Dalaran spamming flirt emotes at me. None of my other girl characters have gotten that, not even my porny-looking draenai chick or my elf women. Whatever.

I only ever got it when I was playing my Forsaken Warrior (female of course).
I remember on one occasion I was waiting for the boat in BB with my friend, when some random dude came up and starting hitting on me. My friend casually says "Hey, Tetri is a guy #$%.", and the other person never bothered us again. I still laugh when I think of it, only because my friend did it all so casually, like everyone on the server was supposed to know I was a guy.

TBH, I get almost no attention at all. Not that I really mind, but some free gold would be nice since most of my toons are Horde. All of my Horde toons are Tauren males, and all of my Alliance toons are Draenei females. I guess I like tall characters. :)
I actually went with Draenei females because of a WoW fanfic that I read a while back where the female protagonist was a badass Draenei warrior. I really like the thought of someone who appears weak, but could really break you in half like a toothpick.
Funniest thing that happened recently, I was riding the boat from Auberdine to the Exodar on my hunter - then level 20 or 21 - and a high-level (?) troll got on the boat and proceeded to kill the guards. He then came and stood in front of me and gave me a /wave and /smile. I /flirted back, to see what would happen. The result surprised me, because he immediately did a /no and moved to the other end of the boat.

Last time it happened was back in Classic. Nothing since then, but I don't pay attention to stuff like that anyway so it might just be I'm simply missing it.
Also,
I have heard many guys say (in order to try to justify playing females): "If I have to stare at the @ss of something all day, I would rather have it be a chick than another guy."
And I assume these must be bad at the game because if they're staring at their toon's bottom, how do they manage to pay attention to everything else that's going on? There's so much to keep an eye on, damage, threat, enemy players in PvP, environment... I find that "excuse" to be lame. I don't play female toons to stare at their attractive attributes, I play them because I feel more confortable playing a female than a male.

My toons in and of themselves don't really garner much attention as most people assume that I am just another guy playing a female toon until I hit a vent when I raid. It can get more than a little uncomfortable when chat goes silent and then some one tries to make their voice deeper and more 'manly'. Or having a former guildie following you around on a toon /flirting and telling everyone you are a girl because you won't call him IRL.
But I have been hit on on my RP toon...which happens to be a male Belf paladin....by another male, troll if I remember correctly.

I'm a guy, but when I started playing, i just made race/class/sex combos in order to see them all. I'm an altaholic and it makes no sense to have 4 orc males etc.
Of course, many years later, my main is now a druid female tauren. :)
Never been hit on, but I do occasionally get treated 'nice'. Especially early on when I was learning to tank

Only once or twice, and every time it was obviously a kid, as the response I get usually ends up with something like "ewww", "wtf is wrong with you" or some sort of homophobic slur. It's actually really funny.

Can't say that I've ever had someone hit on any of my female characters. Humorously enough, a male character
did
hit on one of my male characters once, as a joke; when I responded that I might take them up on the offer, they put me on ignore.

I've only been bothered very, very rarely. And not in years.
My original shaman - a female troll with a neon pink mohawk - has been subjected to more than the rest of my characters combined. Please explain that one. (It probably didn't help that she was on an RP server at the time.)

Once in a blue moon, I get a flirty or dirty tell on my female toons, but not very often, and I usually just tell them I am a guy (even though I'm not) to end it quickly. I have been told, though, that I am easier to spot that the average female player because I name my hunter pets things like "Mandy", "Shelby" and "Cuddles".
I have had a couple of incidents in vent where I got some unwanted attention- usually being politely dismissive works well enough, though. Most of the time it's more overly friendly than anything else, and not anthing I would consider unflattering or rude.
Only once do I recall someone getting actually creepy/offensive (Hey- we should totally hang out cause I live in your state, I'm not kidding, we totally should) and asking my friends if they had seen pics and if I was fat. However, I had enough friends in his guild to feed him all sorts of bull, and try to embarass him enough that he dropped it pretty quickly.

I remember reading somewhere ( back when wrath was new) that 4.5 million wow players are female (IRL) and 6.5 million are male

I read an article in a newspaper a few weeks ago, that said that up to 66% of the people on the internet are females. But, 70% of them were "undercover", pretending to be male.
