i can't tell you what how the DO scale since i haven't tested it but i can tell you how (to my best knowledge) they SHOULD scale.
pets don't get buffs at all. you do and they scale from that.
this should be rechecked every time they take an aggressive action.
if someone popped herolust then you popped infernal it should get the benefit.
this is definitely worthy of testing. i don't think i'll have time in game to do it in the near future (next couple of days) though.

I posted
a topic here
asking for help about getting my UI ready for cata. Since it’s a UI question it is on that board, but because I want to make a warlock specific UI I would like some input from you guys as well. So if you have the time to help a fellow lock out :)

Really trivial question:
Did anyone else get a demon reset a few days after the patch?
My warlock leveled up with a succubus named Betvina. After the patch hit, my 'lock didn't have a demon summoned. So I summoned a succubus, and got Helriel. I noticed that the name was different, so summoned all of my other demons -- all had different names.
Then a few days after the patch, I got all of my old demons back. And somehow my Felhunter had picked up a disease. My succubus didn't have Whiplash on her action bar, and had Lesser Invisibility off of auto-cast (Helriel had it set to auto-cast).
Was this just me?
Still trivial question:
Is there any use for Lesser Invisibility in PvE? At all?
About the best thing I can think of for its use is "my succubus has too much mana. Let me give her something to use to burn that all up."
Edit to add the other thing I forgot to ask:
I've just started playing around with Demonology after leveling up to about 68 with Affliction. Demonology has been really fun so far, but I still can't get a handle on the metamorphosis -- namely, the handful of skills that are only useful in demon form. Shouldn't there be a special action bar like there is for shapeshifting druids, or stealthed rogues?
My action bars are already crammed full of incinerate-y and shadowy deathy goodness, anyone have a good way to deal with the changing skill set for the limited duration of Metamorphosis? Or is this just something I need to get used to?
More edit:
Or maybe metamorphosis is just not really used much? I'm certainly finding that normal skills are killing things pretty darn quickly.

Just one thing to add if you haven't found out already.
The reversion in demon names will probably have resulted in the their new abilities (i.e. Felstorm etc) being removed form their action bars. If you use these bars, you may want open up your spellbook and drag em back down.
Yep, got that. But thanks for the reminder.
Another quick question: Best buff food?
I'm thinking either
Firecracker Salmon
or
Imperial Manta Steak
. Probably the former, but... the latter is easier/cheaper. Or is there something better?

i don't think anything's changed.
hit
food
if you need it (which you shouldn't given the new reforging system and removal of hit buffs) and
fish feasts
with everyone else otherwise.

"still" isn't the right word since demo was the best spec for it but now all specs have access to soul link it's opened up a bit.
most of the threat will be coming from searing pain so destro will have the edge in terms of threat generation but that's not usually an issue anyway. nether ward and nether prot are probably the best mitigation abilities we have so, yes, i'd say destro is the best spec for the job.
however, there's no reason for raid groups to lose a DPSer to tanking keleseth. just use two real tanks and you go back to DPS. the entire reason why a ranged tank was required has been removed from the encounter now.

i'm not sure what's considered "older". i'm 30 which is old for the game but not so much really - it's all relative.
also remember that the 17% (446 rating) hit cap is only for raiding. if you don't see yourself doing any raids before cataclysm then just get 6% hit chance (or 158 hit rating).

Time to investigate where the gear drops and go farm it
Check out my updated gear guide (in sig) as well if you like for a list of easily obtainable gear. First buy the gear that has hit rating on it until you have enough then focus on the other pieces.
PS. @tarlena thank you for recognizing that
I am
totally hot :).
PPS. Be sure you look at hit rating under the spell tab of your detailed character info instead of the melee tab as the rating per percent ratios are different for melee and spells.

The only way to accurately solve your problem is to Sim it, but I am not sure there is a public version of Simcraft 4.0.1 released. Until then its a lot of guesswork.

haste's worth for destro varies wildly because it deals with some relatively harsh caps:
Destruction
has some relatively harsh haste caps to deal with.
The first thing to bear in mind is that your Imp's minimum cast time is currently 1.5 seconds and this means that, with various levels of haste, the talent Dark Arts becomes devalued.
Haste rating Dark Arts points
1925 0
1405 1
885 2
364 3
To get the most out of your Imp's casting you need to have the macro /cast firebolt in all your spells to ensure he casts as often as possible.
The other is Immolate ticks:
ticks haste
+1 284
+2 852
+3 1406
Lastly is the GCD cap which should be considered 1406 haste.
Essentially the advice is
Do what you can to reach 1406 haste rating but don't go over this figure
the EJ profile is capped.
you are not. haste is good ^_^

I think the EJ haste soft cap is 1406 not 1206, and that was the point at which the value of haste dropped. My recomendataion for you is to leave items that are hit+haste alone unless you are over the hit cap, then reforge hit -> mastery. Every other item,
that already has haste on it
, should be reforged crit ->mastery or spirit -> mastery until you reach 1406 haste. Otherwise refoge spirit/crit ->haste.
Currently, the only time you should refoge haste into another stat is to get hit capped. Or you are over 1406.
edit: Damnit asakawa, when did that get there?
