Cataclysm Beta Contest Haiku Voting Thread: Day 2!

Dude, the last one isn't a Haiku! xD
Well, he's very lucky he got in, oh and WoWHead?
Learn'ta count! :P
Bjarki.
Please read the previous posts before you post about the syllable count of the last one, it's perfectly fine since -shire is one syllable.
Also because our previous haikus remain in the picking, does that mean if we just send in a lot of them we have a higher chance of getting in?
And, is it okay if I send in a similar looking haiku, because one is faulty?
I was trolling xD

I was wondering..what's the difference between the bata and the expansion?
Beta is the testing phase for the expansion.
Yup, and at the end of Beta all of the work you put in toward your character gets wiped, and you have to start over when the actual X-pack releases. It is a ton of fun though as a lot of interesting things inevitably get cut from the betas and never get into the final game. . . Wintergrasp shark pet, anyone?
lol still the beta servers have a distinct party feel and are a real pleasure to play on. I guess since nothing you do there can stay anyway, people end up letting down their hair and you'll see a lot of strange stuff that you normally don't see in the retail game.
Last Beta, we did a 40-man "raid" on the log flume ride in Grizzly Hills! and people were putting Primals, BC crafting mats, and rare recipes onto the AH for a few coppers. The only real downside is that a lot of things are buggy and broken up until the last few days of testing. . . of course, that's the whole reason that we're there, but still it can get to be annoying!

Stage 1 Disappointment: Aw man, mine didnt get picked.
Stage 2 Criticism : Oh wow! All these haikus are all flawed! Why would you pick them?
Stage 3 Bad sportsmanship: *Googles haikus* Hey, this haiku that is winning is based of an old joke but the haiku itself is original, why are you allowing this? Is it okay to plaguerize?
Stage 4: Complaining with unfounded bases: Wow these haikus are not even all that good and wow even though some are funny and some have a deep meaning/message i think im going to complain about the funny ones because those are the ones that are winning and wow i can't believe that people like comedy over complicated hidden messages wow this is such a popularity contest!
Like seriously memes? Even though by definition is a meme is popular i can't believe that the haikus that used memes are winning this doesnt even make sense what is this i dont even
You guys need to sit down, shut up, and grow up. You know damn well you wouldn't be saying CRAP if it was one of YOUR haikus that was up there and WINNING.
Can't believe you guys are still QQing about haikus that get picked. Get out of here with that, seriously. Maybe yours isn't as good as you think.
Most of these have been pretty... okay, at best.
And if one of mine gets picked, I'll be the first here to say that mine is @#$% so

I'm sort of wondering, can YOU vote for your own haiku if it's ever displayed? (not that 1 more vote would make a diference but meh xD)

Just found out that you can change your vote. That makes me happy, 'cause after awhile I realized how dumb the one I voted for was. :3

Bravo, bravo :P a bit harsh, but well said mate. Lots of bad sportsmanship abounds, is like 12+ pages are dedicated to pure complains.
I go trough 5 stages too during the contest, though slightly diferent.
Stage 1 Disapointment: Aww mine didn't got selected.
Stage 2 Confort : Well, tomorrow is another day, there's still 12 more days, and 60 keys to go, I could still be in one of those.
Stage 3 Denial: nahhh, mine are ALL related to lore, exclusively, not even remotely associated with memes, jokes, or songs wich ARE more popular.
Stage 4 Hope: ohh well, there's allways the chance that they pick 1 day to put only Lore-related haikus.
Stage 5 Colaborating: well, time to vote for one and do something else for the day.

Well said my friend, pretty much exactly what I was thinking! You did put it more eloquently then I would have for sure too! - You have my vote just purely based on logic, form and speaking the truth!

You can change your vote like I did. Click on return to voting and select a different one. It removes your vote from before and replaces it with the new one.
