Oh, I'm not talking uni; I'm talking when I was like 9-13; used to do massive video game weekends or movie marathons.
Holy #$%^. Never have I been able to play a video game for more than 9 hours straight.
Heh, I played Super Mario RPG all the way through one weekend; maxed out and got all the extra items..... I crashed hard when I finally reached the end of it lol. I had a video game problem when I was younger; if I got a new game on the weekend, I'd usually not sleep that weekend as I'd play it through as far as I could before school started up again on Monday.
ah, when I was 8-10 I -only- played sports games. the replay value is incredibly low imo because the AI is either too easy or too godly.

Heh, nah, I got bit by the RPG bug early; Final Fantasy 1 on the NES, and nearly destroying my Nintendo often when it the damn thing erased my game. Of course, for fun, one of my first NES games was the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles... the one with the weeds in the river.....

I could never do that, but only because I'd dive back under the covers and sleep so that my parents wouldn't realise that I was up all night playing games.
It's worth noting that once you get older, you become physically less capable of staying up. Although I used to do my fair share of 36 hr days for uni, I had to do one a couple of weeks ago, and although I got through the day OK, I found I was much more compromised the day after - recovery time took a lot longer.

Long as it wasn't during the school week, my parents didn't care... one of the few times they both agreed on things(my parents split up when I was younger and argued a lot). Of course, if I tried it without doing the weekend homework... my butt was usually sore lol.

A normal person is awake 16-18 hours a day, and sleeps 6-8 hours a day. So you people who are already falling asleep... are losers. Seriously, this thread isn't even 21 hours old, and you people are already falling asleep. If you're trying to stay awake, unless you've been sleep deprived lately, 24 hours should be no problem.
And you're supposed to be going all the way to 70 hours.
