You call me narrow minded, yet you got so easily strung up the this garroshism everyone else got hooked on, with the same lines like 'maybe it'll be a good change' or 'it needs something new'. At least I remain loyal to what a character represents rather then pushing them aside for the newest thing to come along. That is what I call fickle.I'm sorry.. what? So the fact that unlike you, who is complaining long and loud because of a change where we know maybe 10% of the facts, I'm waiting to see the full thing, and learn everything that Blizzard is going to do with Garrosh makes me fickle? Then fickle I am in wanting to see an evolution to the story, and one that hopefully won't mimic that god-awful 11th hour Lich King bull crap.
Or are you targeting me because, unlike you who sees the sun rise and set on Thrall, I don't see him as the ultimate god and creator of the Warcraft universe; I'm sorry Tauren, but while I like both factions, I would rather see the story move ahead, and hopefully have all the faction leaders get off their arses, and get out there and do stuff. And FYI; Thrall is off to a good start for that for me, seeing as he's actively working out in the world, helping against the threat wanting to transform the world into one of two things; Slaves or Food.
I find it amusing how, because I do reveal I have faction pride, and I'm not ashamed to admit that I like the Alliance, suddenly, my so-called neutral view that you praised and thought was so great, suddenly vanishes, and in your eyes I'm suddenly on the same level of Darkton... yeah well, get over it. The Alliance fans have just as much right to praise and cheer our leaders as you do, and if you don't like, too damn bad; I'm tired of pussy footing around with you; you bash my leaders, my faction, I'll sure as hell bash yours.
Coming from how you regarded me on the same level as darkton too gives me similar cause.
And when did leader bashing come into this conversation? I made one example of how if something happened to velen like him being replaced as leader of the draenei, to give an example of what it would feel like, and now you saying this? Maybe it was a wake up call?
You make a long hard stance on how much you hate the forsaken and sylvanas. You make it clear you hated the end of wotlk, over and over again. Don't give me that holy attitude like you don't do the same thing, your just an impassioned about areas of the lore as I am, just different parts of the story.
And I'm basing what I say here with the evidense already given, how much more do I need then being told 'your favourite characters being booted down and taken over by someone completely different'.

Yeah well; I'm stopping this now, we're off topic for the thread(see it as a win whatever, I'm just tired of this conversation as it's going in circles).
On topic for this thread; no solid information, we're going to have wait for the truth from Blizzard itself when Beta launches in a few months.

Yes, but you bash others for their passions so much more than we bash you. We only start bashing you if you start on Varian (usually Varian anyways).

No you're not. You are ignoring what Blizzard has said and are looking at an alpha screenshot which may or may not be real.

We did that when you were trolling (mainly the "Proof the Alliance are Jerks" thread. It was stupid and made you look like a biased idiot )

Well I'm just as tired, since all I really want is for people to understand how low it makes me feel when a much loved character gets given a downgrade by the writers and even fans turn the backs on him inplace of something new. Its happened in things like x-men and other comic series, I see characters and the world around them changed beyond what I enjoyed, and it lost all feel for me.
I can appreciate a developing story, taking it ahead of itself. But to actully change it beyond what I love about the story is just depressing. And yes, for me certain characters make a story about what it is, it be like reading the authority series without midnigher, or x-men without wolverine and professor x.
I threat so much about this, because thrall is one of those characters, and now blizzard are just spitting on what he made and represented. And that you can't deny.

I can, slightly.
He's going off to fight the elementals to save his people (afaik), like he did in W3.

For me, it's not like that; I have my favorite characters sure, but what brings me back to Warcraft is the story; when I play Warcraft 3, I don't like playing the human or orc campaigns, those were boring to me, I preferred the Night Elves or the Scourge, there was just more to those stories (even with emo-king and deadhead).
But I also don't believe in freaking out over something without the full information; learning about the death of Superboy in Infinite Crisis, one of my favorite characters in Teen Titans... does that mean I should stop reading the comic? Of course not, you keep going to see what happens(and seeing as he is revived during Legion of 3 Worlds, that means he's back for... now), and find out if they are going to keep it good.
I don't see any one Warcraft character as being central to the universe, that if he disappears for a while(or god forbid, dies), that means everything is going to hell in a hand basket and everything is doomed.
I'm against this leak from EJ because of where it comes from, and the fact it reads like bad fan-fiction; but, and even if it peeves off 'true' Horde fans, I'm going to hold out that Garrosh will get a real redemption, and one that doesn't involve his death.

I think he meant how Thrall is turning out weak in all of the aspects where he was strong before.
Oh.
Maybe.

Think about the changes we had from warcraft 2 to 3. Most heroes of the old Alliance of Lordaeron died but as what they were(with the exception of one or another experiencing the effects of aging). Thrall will eventually get out of the picture, but he should do so as the strong leader he was.
How you figure he'd be 'out of the picture'? actully I probably shouldn't ask that..

Eventually, Thrall will not longer be a major lore character. Who knows when, but it will probably happen.

One day probably. Blizzard has always had an obsession of innovating the franchise, specially by creating some new blood, which takes the place of the old timers.
In certain character regards yes. but central figures?

Villains are central figures as well. Lothar was a central figure for sure, so was Terenas... as far as he could considering how Warcraft II was. Grommash is another example and there goes.
Thrall is as much central as all other past and present faction leaders.
Illidan, The Lich King Arthas, the list goes on.
