Trade chat is out of control

Blizz needs to do somthing about trade chat, it has never this bad. Every time i log on they are talking about the most vulgar things imaginable. The problem is that it takes almost a week to get a ticket answered, so no one bothers reporting anyone cause they dont want to have to look at an open ticket for a week. The rating on the game needs to be changed to MA because of this, children should not be playing this game (especially considering 90% of the vulgarity is coming from 12 yr olds). Blizz needs to hire more GMs to allieveate the situation.

Meh trade chat talk like you mentioned has been around forever. My server which was one of the first, has alot of the older players who today like 3-4 years ago talk about random crap. Nothing really anyone can do about it cus blizzard doesnt want to have to mediate the trade chat on EVERY server.
In vanilla, and most of bc if you talked like these people did you did almost always get a msg from a gm a few days later. Hell in bc i got a stern warning cause i was talking about monkeys throwing poo at people.
And little kids playing the game dont know to leave /2, they go into town unaware and see things that there minds should have no idea about.
Again, if blizz cant fix it internally, they rating of the game needs to be adjusted.

ah yea i forgot about that. So everyone thinks that all the nastyness is acceptable in trade? arent you tired of seeing it? trade is a necessary tool if your trying to raid or sell somthing. Blizz needs to better police it.

Simple: /leave 2 as already stated. If you don't like it leave don't start QQing here. I find it annoying but generally useful to see trade because it is a good place to find fun achievement runs for old raids.
One place which is really annoying and I turn off is general chat in ICC.

I don't personally mind it - because I only go into trade when I'm actually looking for something specific. Otherwise, I have trade chat set up to appear on a tab by itself, and I ignore it the rest of the time.
In actuality, my real problem with trade chat is the fact that only about 20% of what appears there is actually, well, trade-related. I personally would rather have a completed moderated, structured trade chat, and shift all the crap to general - then I could ignore it complete.
As an example of what I mean by structured trade chat, you would not be able to "chat" your trade wants/needs in trade chat. Instead, you would open a window wherein you would use a search window to find the good you want to buy/sell, a field where you'd input how much you're willing to sell for/buy for - and that's it. It would auto-post a generic "XXXX is looking to buy/sell YYYYY for ZZZg."
Then all the spam would shift to General, and I'd never have to see it again. :)

I hope this doesn't sound "offensive", but you sound like a Mother whose child just learned some interesting words while playing WoW. If that is the case, it is your responsibility to monitor your child, not Blizzard.
You're suggesting Blizzard delegate manpower, that could be used for creating further content, into making the game a Chucky Cheese environment for your child.
Sorry to say, but your baby doesn't matter to the rest of us.
No i do not yet have a child, am currently trying for one atm, one of the things i look forward to with my child is spending time with him playing games like wow. I would just like the game cleaned up a bit before that happens. And my child would not play the game the way it currently is. Blizz use to do somthing about it, ive got a friend that got a 3 day ban for saying stuff back in the day that was half as offensive as what flys now. The problem now is that the population is just to large for blizz to possibly make a diffrence without hiring more GMs, and im sure every player can agree that blizz needs to hire more gms, its not like they dont have the money to do it. week long tickets are the source of the problem.

I agree with this completely.
And then maybe people building raids would use the appropriate channel as well.
