Wait, what the hell does a plutoid have to do with corruption. My personal beliefs are that while it could be called a plutoid for the sake of labeling and distinction for scientific properties, that doesn't mean it had to stop being a planet. I don't think the two should be mutually exclusive.
Though to be fair, I am horribly out of depth with this argument.

I believe the scientist know what they are doing. There are no irregularities in science - if Pluto doesn't fit the definition of a planet, then it's not a planet. If it was a planet, it would make no sense and only made things more complicated for the scientists.
