target dummies are fine.
there's really nothing to practice regarding the 35% thing. once decimation procs your main nuke is soul fire. done.
/cast metamorphosis

Target dummies at the argent tourney can let you test under 35% targets...

Yes you can keybind Metamorphosis, just like any other spell.
I suggest making a macro and keybinding that rather than just Meta
#showtooltip Metamorphosis
/use Immolation Aura
/use Metamorphosis
/use 13
/use 14
/use 16
/use 17
The first three lines are from a post Asakawa made a while ago.
The 13 and 14 represent your trinkets, 16 is your weapon, and 17 is your offhand. I put those in only because there are items that have 15min CD on them. Feel free to edit to your your liking.
Whatever you keybind the macro to, you need to hit it twice for the macro to use everything. Once for Meta, second time for IA and trinkets

the trinkets will fire with the first push
while a GCD will effectively end a macro that's not to say that the game works down the list and stops reading once it fires a GCD ability. it all happens at the same time and the trinkets should fire straight away.

I actually just switched back to Demo today and instancely noticed a big jump in dps. And that is without knowing what the rotaion is (actually I still don't know but I'm about to check that thread out).
What can I say... I missed my Felguard. *grins*

When I first switched I tried practising in the random dungeons but Tank aggro can be an issue.
If you're in a guild try running some older raids as practice. It's a lot better learning the spec in an environment similar to what you're going to run, than something which doesn't involve moving.
I ran Toc as Demo and noticed higher Dps than I was as destro, but in Icc I change between the two as the Demo burst is very handy for Saurfang!

Ah thats right, I forgot about that

I, too, just switched one of my specs to Demo; it's a lot of fun (and good DPS) in 5-mans but I haven't had a chance to try it out in raids yet.
One thing that simplifies managing Demonic Empowerment is to bind it to all of your spells (or one that you use very often), such as this macro:
#showtooltip Shadow Bolt
/console Sound_EnableSFX 0
/cast Demonic Empowerment
/script UIErrorsFrame:Clear()
/console Sound_EnableSFX 1
/cast Shadow Bolt
I'm not sure if the /console or /script commands are necessary (this is a tweaked version of another macro I found) but those will silence and clear any error messages caused by the macro. I'd test that out before using it, but I think it should work.

the /console and /script remove the warnings that pop up saying that the item/spell/whatever is not available.
Im lazy and have an all in 1 macro i use..
#showtooltip Shadow Bolt
/console Sound_EnableSFX 0
/petattack
/use 10
/cast Demonic Empowerment
/cast Metamorphosis
/script UIErrorsFrame:Clear()
/console Sound_EnableSFX 1
/cast Shadow Bolt
It does everything, and because i am an engineer, i have the haste #$%^ on my gloves.. thats the /use 10
Yup thats the all in one i use..

meta is a bad thing to put in a macro like that. it's far too important to have just
go off
in combat.
"/cast demonic empowerment" is fine, no need for the details.
