((School is killing me atm. I also paintballed for the first time in my life this afternoon. I hate it.
Part 3))
The eight Draegen confronted the Paladins deep in the night. They hovered above the ground and set the camp ablaze. When the confused quartet came out of their tents, hammer clutched in their hands, they were frozen in place. A large, red Dragon-man spoke to the team.
‘What is your business here? This is not a place often traveled by adventurers.’ Lord Halfen was feverishly trying to get himself loose from the icy chains. ‘What does it matter? This is nobody’s territory, and we didn’t attack you or any of your kind. So let us go, unless you want to feel the wrath of the Light!’
The red Draegen turned to his accomplices. After an exchange of grunts and short sentences with hem, he replied; ‘What goes on here is none of your business. We have temporarily claimed this land until we have finished our matters in the vicinity. Once we are done, you are free to do with the place as you wish. But for now, you must leave!’
The chains broke and the Paladins warmed themselves up. Samsong looked at the Draegen in awe and then turned his sights to the Dragon corpse. Pointing to the body, he asked the red Dragon-man; ‘Your work?’
The Draegen turned around to see what he meant and then answered; ‘Not entirely, no. But I will not deny we had a hand in its demise.’ Theocritus shook and gripped his hammer. He was overcome by fear. Samuel had never before seen his –otherwise calm – mentor in such a state. ‘It’s cursed, you know that?’, he yelled. ‘And you did it! You made it rot and stink like that! You’re a threat to the whole of Azeroth!’
The winged creature calmly said; ‘It’s corruption was the one thing we did not have a hand in. The land has caused that. There is more to this region than you think, Human.’ Lord Halfen slammed his hammer on the ground. ‘NO! It was you, and I have to stop you from doing it again!’ His face turned red as he stared at the being before him, determined to end its life.
Alehammer tried to calm him down; ‘Lad, yer doing things ye don’t want to do here. Calm down, lay down yer weapon, we kin talk about this, we kin figure this out’. But Theocritus pushed his Dwarven friend aside and screamed; ‘FOR THE LIGHT!’
He jumped high up in the air and brought his hammer down on the Draegen’s chest. The red creature was taken by surprise and fell on the ground, stunned. His allies responded quickly and blasted Theocritus with fire, knocking him far back, against the Dragon corpse. Samsong and Alehammer urged for the lot to stop fighting while Blue created a shield around them.
The prominent Paladin stood up, his right arm and chest drenched in blood. He blasted a Draegen from afar with the Light. The winged creature was burned and fell on the ground, groaning in pain. One of the remaining six flew at Halfen and struck him with his sword. While the Human’s heavy armor took the blow, the strength behind it brought him to his knees, exhausted.
The leader of the pack rose up again and healed his fallen brother. He slowly approached his enemy and spat on the ground. ‘We will have none of this’, he said, and then beheaded the man.
He turned to the other three and said; ‘Do not make the same mistake as your friend. We will take action to ensure this doesn’t happen.’
He stretched his hands towards the trio and took control of Blue’s shield. With it, he crushed the Paladins, knocking them out.

Samsong woke up with a stinging pain in his cheek. Someone was caring for him, putting a wet sheet on his face. But when the person saw him waking up, it fled.
The Human sat straight and pondered the situation. His beloved mentor was dead, and the cell he was imprisoned in was empty. ‘Alehammer and Blue were probably taken to another cell’, he thought.
His weapon was gone, but they had allowed him to keep his armor on. Nonetheless, Samsong was cold. He touched the iron bars of the prison doors and peered outside. He was in an enormous cave, with dangerous spikes hanging from the ceiling. This particular room had always been uninhabited, save for the prisoners, of who Samsong was the only one, even though there were other cells around.
Samsong thought about the location. Large caverns… the last thing he saw were the Draegen, and the person that cared for him while he was a sleep was one of them, since it clearly had wings. There was no doubt about it. He was on one of the Dragon Isles.
A large, wooden door to his right side cracked open. Two Draegen stepped through; a blue one with a bald head and refined wings, and a black one with rugged wings and numerous scars. King Marmal Ashwing spoke to him, grinning; ‘Greetings, Human, and welcome to my Kingdom.’
