Hey guys, Im gonna create a priest in some days and i was wondering. What should i get first? The staff or the 10% armor items? :P I mean, at start, the 20% xp bonus aint that much, right? :)

From what I noticed, the early healing spells don't scale with spellpower (at least they don't at 80, so if I'm wrong, its because I haven't been not 80 in a while), so get the 10% armor items if you plan to be healing.
If not, the 10% armor items speed up the whole process, moreso than a staff.

If you want to get the staff, it makes some difference, but the 30SP enchant is a waste, get the Int one.

The 20% XP bonus is just as good at lower levels as it will be at level 79. I'd pick that up before anything else, but would also consider getting the +2% mana

Thanks for all the replies. Now.. ive played a lock to 80 so i know how that works, but priests are a different approach. Especially healing. So.. how much is 2-4% mana restored? I mean, i looked at the trinkets and thought.. wtf. that cant be worth it :P

If you're healing, they do nothing as you need to land a killing blow
if you're out grinding, you get your maximum mana returned every kill.
The trinkets also give you SP, which is nice.

The early spells do scale with spellpower at low level. But if you downrank the bonus quickely drops. This was added with patch 2.0 to discourage downranking.
