Addendum to the "Do your dailies" section:
The shattered Sun dailes are worth 100-120g per day, plus 2 green items and the occasional Badge of Justice. A couple of the quests on the island have terrible drop rates on the quest items, but even with that, it's probably still the most efficient way to make gold.

Well, I was in Winterspring when I dinged lvl 58. I had 200 gold in my pockets at the time. So rather than spending all that gold on an epic mount, I started grinding the Wintersaber trainer rep. This grinding took me better part of a week.....and took me to 1/2 way through lvl 61. But I got my mount. And as a skinner, I ended up with over 790 gold from all the leather gathered doing the shardtooh/chillwind meat quest. I also typically scored a couple of greens, and and occasional blue or epic drop from the giants.
This is a VERY long and tedious grind. But it is well worth it, if you can stick to it, since you will end up with a ton of gold, an Epic mount that only requires 75 riding skill, and looks fairly unique (have only ever seen 5 of them, and 3 are in our guild.)
BTW...if you go this route....once you hit Honored...the grind goes far faster if you drop the meat quest and just do the other two (the shaman/Ursa quest and the giants). You should be able to easily do both of these twice per hour, at 600 rep points per trip.
I am now spending my SAVED gold on great new weapons, armor, etc. :)

Another good way to farm motes of mana is by doing the daily Maintaining the Sunwell Portal, the little wyrms you kill when phased have a realy high drope for the motes, plus you get gold from doing the daily!
Hope this helps.
And, thanks Raylite, great guide. Making money is easy now!

I find its better to simply sell the netherweave cloth in the AH. they sell real quick and each stack goes for 3-5g. Well, at least on my server(Magtheridon)

One caveat:
alchemists, whatever your spec. make the potions/elixers/transmutes EVERYDAY!
Just some things to add that helped me along the way.
I completely agree on the transmutes as long as you are going the right way (the resulting primal is worth more than the source), but on my server, most of the time, VERY few potions or elixirs sell for more than or as much as the mats and you can make more just selling the mats. The exceptions are generally the "discovered" potions and elixirs. However the trade off is that if you can recover the cost or most of the cost of the mats making as many as possible give you a better shot at discovering one of the popular in demand pots/elixirs that you can make a real margin on.
On my server it costs me about 62g for the primals required for the primal of might which sells for around 100g, since a good friend is an elixir specialized alcy I went transmute the occasion extra primal is nice. Sure its only once every 20 hours but as you point out persistence pays.

You do not need to be asian, or otherwise located in an asian vicinity.
Lies!

Too bad you have to buy the skill to get your flyer
WRONG. The Wintersaber that you get is the ONLY epic mount that ONLY requires a lvl 75 riding skill. And it is only available to the Alliance.
