((It appears I like writing this very much.
Part 1
-
Part 3
))
Even though they were taken by surprise as well, the inhabitants of Orgrimmar didn’t go down as quietly as the Night Elves. No captives were taken, instead everyone was knocked out or encased in ice. The weaker citizens, such as the children, were locked in their homes.
Thrall managed to defeat three Draegen before Marmal reflected his own spell against him, electrifying him with lightning. The Warchief’s skin was burned and he was rendered immobilized. The Dragon-men chained Vol’jin and took him away, leaving the Horde capital city in shock.
The Darkspear Shaman was taken to the abandoned Echo Isles and put down near a ritual table with flasks and ingredients. Marmal spoke to him; ‘Master Vol’jin, you are an accomplished With Doctor. We’d like you to make a concoction for us, one that weakens the willpower of the target. And before you ask why you should do that for us, here is what’s at stake.’
The King’s accomplices appeared from behind a ruined wall, pulling two young Troll females with them. ‘Two chances, Troll. And if that isn’t enough, we can always go back to Sen’jin Village and fetch another one, since it is under our control anyway.’
Vol’jin was furious, but knew resistance was useless. These creatures had attacked Orgrimmar, they wouldn’t restrain from killing young Trolls. ‘Maybe joo would be more interested in da work of da Royal Apocethary Society.’, he said. ‘Dis be more of their specialty.’
‘Why go all the way to Lordearon if we can get someone who is perfectly capable of fulfilling the task so close by? You know the recipe, we will gather the ingredients. So tell me, what do you need?’ Vol’jin grunted. ‘Eyes. Of Faerie Dragons. There be some of dem in Ashenvale. And brain stems of Sunscale raptors from da Barrens.’
Four Draegen flew away in groups of two, towards separate directions. After merely a few minutes, they returned with one sack full of Faerie Dragon corpses and the other full of raptor blains. Vol’jin was surprised at their speed and efficiency, but knew it meant nothing good for him. ‘Now, mon’, he said, ‘Let me concentrate’.
The Jungle Troll spent a few minutes arranging the flasks and then got to work. With much precision, he weighted the ingredients and brewed the potion. When he was ready, he presented Marmal with a fluorescent green liquid.
The Battle-Mage smiled and took the bottle from him. ‘Now then, for a test.’ He stepped towards the first girl and forcefully opened her mouth, pouring a small bit of the drink in. Vol’jin’s eyes opened in fear while the rest awaited the results. He knew his foolish actions meant certain doom for the innocent victim. The Troll girl gulped a few seconds and then opened her eyes, now fueled by rage. Frenzied, she began biting and kicking at her captors. Marmal made short work of her by blasting her chest open with fire.
Annoyed, he turned to the elder Shaman. ‘This was just a follower of that defector of yours, Zalazane. The other one is not guilty of anything, yet I will not hesitate to grant her a similar fate. It all depends on you, Troll, so what is it going to be?’
Vol’jin stared at him for a moment, then gave in. He got back to work, mumbling; ‘Same ingredients, just a different amount.’ A few minutes later, he gave Marmal a blue-colored potion. Again, Marmal walked to the Troll captive. Before he gave her the potion, he ordered her; ‘Close your eyes!’.
She refused, continuing to stare at him angrily. The Draegen gave her a bit of the drink and repeated his sentence; ‘Close your eyes!’ The girl still refused, but gulped this time. On a harder tone, Ashwing yelled; ‘CLOSE YOUR EYES, NOW!’ She closed them in fear, scared of what the man would do next.
‘Good. We might not need this, but it is best to be prepared nonetheless. Now then, Troll, time for us to make a final statement.’ He picked the captive up by her neck, and swung her away with a magic-empowered arm. She landed a distance away in the sea, her chains stopping her from swimming. Marmal looked at the Witch Doctor. ‘What are you waiting for? Save her!’
He reacted immediately. With the speed of the wind, he sprinted towards the coast. Once there, he walked over the water at the place the girl was drowning. He saw her hand reaching the surface and grabbed it, pulling her up. He healed her wounds and turned around, taking off back to the Echo Isles. However, he saw Marmal and his army flying straight towards him. The King grabbed him around his stomach and left the girl to drown.
Vol’jin, overtaken by rage, tried to get himself loose and take revenge, but Marmal’s grip was too tight. ‘I lied to you before’, the King said. ‘She too, was a follower of Zalazane. A traitor that deserved to be wiped off the face of Azeroth. We are actually doing you favors here.’
When they reached Orgrimmar, they brutally dropped the Troll leader on the tower where the Flight Master was located. The Draegen army retreated through the Valley of Spirits, dodging the numerous arrows that were fired at them. However, one Orc managed to shoot one of the Dragon-men in his back, bringing it to the ground, where it was finished off by the guards.
Marmal turned around with flaming eyes. In the blink if an eye, he reached the Hunter and hit his chest with his claw, knocking him back. When others came to the Orc’s assistance, the Battle–Mage breathed fire on them, turning them to ash. Marmal’s second motioned to him and yelled some words. The King nodded in agreement and took off. The Draegen disappeared again, leaving the Horde in shock. The Hunter, though, would carry the scars on his chest with pride for the rest of his life.
