Gold buying and what you think

So yeah, not every Wowheader stoops that low Sas, but thanks for your low opinion of us.
What is the limit? At what point is a Haunting Spirit too cheap for you to buy? What if you need some and all of the ones currently on the AH are below that threshold of yours? How is it you know for sure that the seller is a "cheater" or "thief?" How is the average person in-game suppose to know either? So, let's say someone is selling it for 500g and the next person is 600g and then another is at 1500g, you're saying you're going to go buy the 1500g because it's less likely to be tainted?
Oh, and please... let's not be looking at my opinion/statement as a personal opinion of you or every person here. Really no need to go down that path.(##RESPBREAK##)2060##DELIM##Sas148##DELIM##

Well, the level one selling multiple full stacks of spirits on the trade channel for half the market value, that's a big tip off they are not organically created.
I don't buy materials off of any character below cap on the trade channel period, certainly not off a level one named Xlkemkjfo. I buy off the AH because the scum never post to the AH, they deal through trade.
Once the scum hits a particular material or product I don't touch it with a ten foot pole because there is absolutely no way not to lose gold. After you buy your stack and craft something to sell, another guy is going to buy a stack at a lower price and craft something to sell thereby having the ability to undercut you and unless you want to take a loss you can't undercut him. You could save time and bother by simply tossing some gold at the next newbie you pass in the street if you want to go the loss route.

Fair enough. I see where you're coming from.

I'm not entirely certain that you do.
I would not knowingly purchase a duped or stolen item in game even if I figured I had no chance whatsoever of being caught whether or not I thought I could profit off of it. The fact that buying these Haunting Spirits is a no-win situation goldwise is merely incidental.
I could have bought a Jewelled Onyx Panther the other day for 50k in trade. Heck I could have bought half a dozen of them without having to run to my banking guild for a top up, but I didn't. Why? Because I absolutely refuse to aid, abet, or otherwise enrich gold-sellers because of the overreaching effects they have, not to mention how they bugger up the realm economies.
Unsurprisingly I also don't buy DVD players that 'fell' off the back of a truck, nudge nudge, wink wink. I have integrity in real life and I don't turn it off at the login screen, which is why I take exception to the implication that 'everybody does it'. No everybody doesn't do it.

Belive it or not i used to work to the "Gold Sellers", how that? well, when the Gold Buyer wants gold he contacts de Gold Seller, and the Gold Seller contacts me and told me to go to a specific place and wait for the guy and then give him the gold.
Of course this process if a little more "detailed", for example, the Gold Seller will ask to you to have one mid level "toon" (40-60) in both sides (Horde/Alliance), when you gonna trade with the Gold Buyer avoid any kind of talk: whisper, normal talk, yell, etc just open the trade windown put the amount of gold to trade, and when everything is done, head to Inn and log out and continue playing with your main like nothing has happend.
And what i get in exchange? well... free prepaids and sometimes gold xD...(##RESPBREAK##)2060##DELIM##Sas148##DELIM##Let's leave this thread to discussing your
feelings
on gold buying/selling rather than sharing
actual
experiences that are in violation of Blizzard's rules.

Cool story bro. Thanks for selfishly contributing to account theft and hacking.

Well, according to the Gold Seller i used to work, the gold that he sells, he gets from selling it prepaids not for account stealing and/or hacking, also he told me that he never heard about the use of such actions for sell the gold of other accounts... maybe others gold sellers do but not this one...

There's no getting out of that business alive. They'll keep pulling you back in. Have you learned nothing from a century of mobster movies?

There isnt much point anyway. Go read up on your professions and make money that way. Even with inflation gold buying is still too expensive. Oh and against a little thing called the EULA =p
