(( I'm feeling generous this week, so Page 14 comes early! ))
- Jason explained everything as they flew. How the kraken had vomited him up after what felt like hours of slicing away at its insides. How he'd struggled to stay afloat, how the kvaldir had "rescued" him and forced him to battle for them, and how he'd escaped and been accepted into the kalu'ak tribe.
- Nilon was just relived that the warrior had survived and was the one leading them. The honorable human would be a good ally, the death knight and rogue not all that trustworthy in his eyes.
- Jason also explained what he knew of Azjol-Nerub's layout. Apparently the most easily accessible areas could be found through a set path leading to where the crypt lord and former king of Azjol-Nerub had been slain. The second was a more mysterious place called the Old Kingdom. According to what Jason knew of the place, the only way they would get into the most Scourge-based portion of the civilization was through the first of the two, the Old Kingdom being mostly controlled by cultists.
- They finally reach the Forgotten Pit - the most easily accessed entry into Azjol-Nerub. They urged their mounts down, getting as close as they could to it. "They won’t be able to accompany us inside," Jason said. "The tunnels are too small and besides, it’s just not safe. Have them stay out here and wait for us to get back out." He then dropped down.
- The other three followed in suit. Their landing was a rough one, but they were unharmed none the less. Jason lit a torch and motioned for them to follow. "Come on," he said, but paused briefly. "Oh, and be careful of the bugs."
- They ventured inside.
...
- Anuk'arag strode through the halls of Azjol-Nerub, the lesser nerubians scurrying out of his way as he passed by them. He commanded new respect with the Lich King's blessing - something only death could provide.
- He turned down another corridor and then through a large door. Several nerubian vizers - considerably smaller then himself, though - stood inside. Insects swarmed around them and they clicked words at them in nerubian tongue. One of the vizers saw Anuk'arag approaching and bowed. "My lord."
- "What's the situation?" Anuk'arag asked.
- The vizer shooed the bugs away. "Our watchers have reported a small group of living has entered the Upper Kingdom, we're tracking them."
- "Just as the master predicted," Anuk'arag said, and broke into a coughing fit. He'd spent too much time on the surface, the dust and spores in the underground just weren't agreeing with him like they used to.
- "What should we do, my lord?" the vizer asked.
- "Keep an eye on them," Anuk'arag commanded, "I will deal with them myself."
- "Yes, my lord."
- Anuk'arag walked from the room, two Anub'ar crypt lords were waiting outside. Anuk'arag motioned for them to follow. They did as they were commanded, and the three undead nerubians moved easily through the tunnels of Azjol-Nerub.
- Already they could sense the living filth in
his
city. Already could he hear their dying screams...

I' already waiting o the next one. Are you just exploring the instances or are they going in way deep? Like waking up to be staring at the inner workings of a forgotten one deep.
I'm sticking to the upper kingdom - being that's where I feel the Scourge pressence would be the most heavy, even though adventures have already cleared a good part of it out.

Nice, a bit short, but nice.

Writer's Commentary:
- I take it by the lack of comments you are protesting the transition page? That or the cheesy Star Wars refference in Anuk'arag's part of it.
- Even so, I hope to detail a good bit about the upper kingdom as Nilon and co. venture through it. Unfortunately the next page or two are doomed to be short are somewhat uneventful. After the two groups meet, though, it should pick up.
- Why is Anuk'arag still affected by the spores of Azjol-Nerub? Isn't he dead? And how is Jason quilified to lead this expidition?
- /shrug

There's no such thing as a stupid question, ask away!
And it's been my expirence that if your main readers (for me I'd say Skree, Taum, possibly Adams and Hyper) don't all post, somethings wrong.

Thanks for rejecting me yet again. :P

Morec, sometimes I get ^&*!ed when you post it when I'm asleep because then I'm like 18 hours late. Trust me, lack of comments is annoying but also look at your view count.
Heh, very true.
And sorry there Patty, I forgot about you.

I've just started seeing that World of Lordcraft thing. What a ripoff of Warcraft.
- Jason walked ahead of the ground, using his torch to light the path and burn the disgusting nerubian webbing that they didn't have to walk on out of their way. "This tunnel will take us directly into the heart of Azjol-Nerub's Brood Pit," Jason said, "After that we'll have to move with caution to reach the inner command chambers."
- "Command chambers?" Nilon asked.
- "Yeah," Jason said, "they used to be the private chambers of the current nerubian king. After the War of the Spider, though, they were converted into a war room of sorts for the Scourge."
- "How do you know all of this?"

-"BECAUSE I AM A SPIDER!" Jason transformed into a gargantuan being, slicing at Nilon and his party "DO YOU THINK YOU CAN ESCAPE ME?" He roared at the group.
-"Miriam and Deathknight Person! Run!" Nilon shouted at them, as he bravely stood facing the Giant Arachnid.
-"But-" Miriam was cut off by that Deathknight whose name I have forgotten.
-"NO! YOU MUST GET BACK TO THE KITCHEN AND MAKE SAMMICHES!" He screamed at her, shoving her back towards the opening of the Pit, and himself climbing up. "Good luck to you sir Nilon, there will always be a Sammich in Heaven for you."
Interesting turn of events Morec.
Okay, how the hell did you get your hands on my computer?
