I've been a frost DPS for the longest time...although i'm finding it kinda annoying, its so based on luck its annoying..I don't have the best gear in the world, I have 3 peices of tier 9 with the tyranicle beheader (from pit of saron) and two ulduar equivelant peices, my belt and neck. Everything else being from TOC 5man or from other heroics...in otherwords they are *!@#.
With luck, if my sigil goes off (its a 245) with using obliterate (since im speced into it, it doesnt consume my diseases) then I gain 200 str for a few seconds (luck), with my set bonus I gain 180 str for a few seconds if i'm lucky with blood strike (luck) and if I'm lucky fallen crusader will go off (luck) and if i'm lucky mirror of truth will go off and give me 1k AP (luck) and then I can pop my other trinket for 600 something AP...which is fortunitly use able and not luck..
See a pattern here? if by some lucky reason all of that pops I can maintain like 6k attack power and do like 4-5k DPS in my crappy gear...as awesome as that is...it's all based on luck! Is there a better way to do DPS than rely on luck? Or should I keep it the way it is and be thankful I can do so much?
This is my armor btw. I'am working on getting better gear and I know where to get replacments...i've just been lazy.

There's almost no "luck" associated with the Sigil. It's a 90% proc chance and I don't believe it has an internal CD. It should be up nearly constantly.
Fallen Crusader should go off very regularly (1.3-2 PPM, I think) so you've got about a 50% uptime or so.
That being said, Frost is subject the most to RNG. Either you get a great deal of Killing Machine procs or you don't. Blood and UH both offer less RNG-based results.

This setting aside the fact that Frost 2h hasn't been terribly viable in quite some time.
You've got decent gear, you might try
this
or
this
if you want to use a 2h.
If you're in love with Frost, then you'll want a couple of slow, hard-hitting one-handers, and check out the specs found
here
.
All that being said, if you're having fun with your spec and you don't care about min/maxing or getting the most damage, go for it, but the Frost tree really isn't designed with any real synchronicity with a 2h weapon anymore.
