No, he won't; that would just be an even bigger wussy move then what they currently have for the Lich King. Also, the 'body' of the King, Arthas's body has been dead for about 7 years now... even if he lost the Lich King inside of him, he would probably useless for anything.

Arthas is a death knight though, rezzerected by runes he cant be usless, that would mean that tharrasian is useless, as they are of same form, and almost same nobility

There nothing alike: Tharassian was killed by Feldric and resurrected as a Death Knight after Arthas acquired Frostmourne. However, there is NO ARTHAS inside the Lich King, Rise of the Lich King says that his good side died, the quest Tirion Gambit says that Tirion Fordring sees no redemption for Arthas, that he was lost to the evil... hell, he doesn't even have a complete soul anymore; Frostmourne took care of that. The Lich King is Arthas and Ner'zhul, fused, and he will died, because you have to kill the Host to make a 'new Lich King' which is what is required.
That whole "Arthas is holding back the Scourge" thing is a crock; if the Scourge was really that powerful, they would have wiped out Azeroth long ago. This entire thing is merely a way for Blizzard to shoe horn the Lich King into an enemy at a later date because they are lazy and don't want to kill him.

Yay for another "I know nothing about lore but let's make a pointless thread anyways" thread.
;_;
Makes me sad.

i dont know much about the lore i will admit, but this is a theory that my GM ( played warcraft since it came out, has all the books, and then some, plays every race and has over 5k ach points on all of his toons) has said many times, and i think in some points it is valid

Not really; as stated above. Go and look at wowwiki for the Lore on Frostmourne, the Lich King, Arthas and the Frozen Throne, that will clear up everything... including why Arthas can't be 'freed' of the armour.

Convert what exactly? I mean really: Arthas, as we saw him during Warcraft 3
DOES NOT EXIST
anymore; he has been the Lich King for the last 7 years... not Arthas Menethil, not Ner'zhul, the Lich King, Lord of the Scourge and the enemy of all Life. There is nothing within him to convert; even with that new stupid thing about 'Arthas holding back the Scourge' that is merely a tiny piece of the Paladin left.... probably not enough to retake it body. Also, and here's the big thing here.... Without the Armour, there is no necromatic energy powering the body the Armour is on top of... So, without that armour, the body 'dies' which it should have done 7 years ago.
His body is ruined by the cold, the Blight he breathed in during the Wrathgate, the attacks upon him by Tirion and Darion; the Armour is holding the corpse together through necromancy, without that magic, the body will fall to pieces.

After this post I have to say this guy is trolling, no rather my faith in humanity demands that I believe that.
More then likely... no one can be that clueless of the Lore.....

Then please stop trying to say there's something there to convert/safe/what have you... especially when lore says otherwise. It's fine to argue a point.. but not when it's a dead end point like this one.
