SoR = Single target less than 15 sec
SoC = Multiple mobs any amount of time
SoV = Single target more than 15 sec
Quests seal = all the time

Uh.... use SoR.... I wouldn't waste a point in SoComm while leveling. Build to 51 points in ret, put 5 points in holy for
http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=20332
and/or 5 points in prot for
http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=20266
. Then think about using SoComm....
You want to aim for
this spec
.
Leveling as ret is all about burst. You want to hit like a truck so the mobs you run into just fall over when you get them in range.

It's faster to do exactly this, but to three mobs at a time. And for that, SoComm is better.

Quest's seal is such a cutie! Anyway I would echo pezz's sentiment. As Ret, and especially after 60, you have the tools to take down 3 mobs at once with relative speed, and the armor/healing to survive it, which makes SoC ideal for the leveling ret paladin. Ideal!

Not only that, but you can glyph SoC for a mini Seals of the Wise (8% mana return on judgement). Very nice while leveling.

Agreed. Were I leveling these days, I'd glyph SoC and Judgement, or maybe Crusader Strike if I were still having mana troubles. Which actually makes me wonder, are those the correct glyphs for Ret pre-80? I don't recall Consecrating much before then, and you can't well use SoV and SoC at the same time, so.
