I never have any problems with dps pulling aggro i am always well ahead on the threat as i should be. i use a deep wounds build
my problem however is in ICC i find myself not being able to keep up with the other tanks. multiple mob trash pulls are where it really shows i am unable to get more than one of the mobs to cling to me so the other tank ends up with 3-5 mobs and i have one.
now i know some people are going to say its because warriors cant aoe tank
and i refuse to agree with that crap
i can tank every aoe pull i have ever had thrown at me with out a problem until now
i am open to any spec glyph or itemization changes
any help is appreciated
thank you

Helpful case:
I overslept, other tank pulled and already has lead in threat over me.
I charge in and pick one hard hitting target and taunt it. Than i berserker rage (or not) and start hitting it while queueing cleaves and tabbing targets. I spam Shield slams and Devastates while looking at omen. Wherever i am not 1st or second (after the other tank) on threat list i concentrate on this target more.
Typical result if you have good gear and skills: The other tank begins to loose agro on some pieces, eventually loosing it fully to you.
If you have problems with that try taunting every single target you are far away in threat on.
PS: Warriors cant AoE tank? Bull#$%^. I tank just fine. I overagro other warriors, ferals and Dks (no chance with paladins). Usually do around 3.5-4k dps in ICC thrash.
We have may not have good AoE
abilities
, compared to other tanks (IE. swipe spam), but with a little will and skill we can pull boatloads of aggro on many mobs.

Does the other tank happen to have 2xT10 seeing as you don't by chance? That'd be a clear gear difference between you and them that's at least contributing to the issue.

If your other tanks are pally's, don't bother, just pick some targets and get aggro on them.
Wotlk is very pally friendly and you really dont have a chance of keeping the same aggro on them as a warrior if they are almost similar geared or better geared then you.
As Zakkhar said, just pick a hard hitting target and get some rage and eventually pick some mobs of the other tank to make it easier on the healers.
Other then that, if you can keep aggro on the bosses when you need to, it really dosn't matter if the other tanks have more threat then you on trash.

never have any problems with other warriors or druids. never have any problems on bosses either.
it is as most of you said a problem with pally's and dks when they pull first i have trouble stripping more than one mob off of them.

tachiko is my usual tanking partner a blood dk. whom i outgear by a small margine. we never have any trouble in ICC10 its just beggining to bother me that i cant get the mobs on the trash pulls.
i will try and get in there first, but the deathgrip pull is just so nice and safe with those traps everywhere.
ty all for your suggestions

Would be kind of difficult to steal aoe aggro from a blood DK just by dealing damage, you have TC and SW, they have 2 diseases, D&D, and imp BB.
As stated above, grab 1 and keep it on you then periodically grab an additional mob and establish a thread lead on it till you've got a respectable share of the mobs.
Getting 2xT10 will increase your single target and aoe threat quite noticably.

i had intended on replacing that horrid ony trink with my frost emlems. thing my first t10 peice would be a better choice then?

I'd definitely look to replace the ony trinket, glyph of indominability is a great replacement for 50 emblems of triumph.
Personally I think blizz hit the nail on the head with the T10 bonuses for everyone and would work toward 4xT10 before spending frost emblems on anything else but that's just my personal thoughts.

I don't like the warrior 4 piece. It's basically taking away our Bloodrage and turning it into a cooldown. For a cooldown fight I guess that's okay, but I have other cooldowns and trinkets. Plus a small absorb isn't that "great" of a cooldown. Using it on every Bloodrage cooldown seems like a waste too.
Add to that the fact that the crafted legs, badge gloves, and badge chest are just so great, I don't think I'd give up those slots for Tier 10 gear. Helm and Shoulders are the only Tier 10 I'm looking to get right now. Maybe once I get all the rest of my badge gear I'll get two more pieces, but for now I still need to pick up badge gloves, cloak, chest, and trinket (in that order) before I get more Tier 10.

Im a great fan of block value on ICC trash, well, on early trash, since ive just got down marrowgar (just started icc).
sacrifice some/alot health and avoidance for it, get a decent amount of hit and expertise. Try experimenting with swapping weapons, if few mobs hit you and you get less rage, immediately switch to a slow weapon.
I was 3rd on dps in 10man yesterday, dressed like this: copy that gear and your aoe threat will rock (i promise, and since its rather low end gear its easy to copy) and your mitigation (during shieldblocks) will be solid.

i like to tab devastates, spam cleaves and save shieldslams for my maintarget. Another neat trick is when you got many mobs to hit you, switch to a slow dps onehander, switch to battlestance and hit retaliation then quickly switch back, and watch them eat some high white damage from your slow weapon.

While I agree the 4xT10 for warriors isn't as strong as the druid's I'm sure it's designed based on the warrior's amazing add tanking potential.
A warrior will block, dodge, parry, or be missed by virtually all incoming attacks while tanking multiple adds, what isn't avoided will be reduced by block and what isn't blocked can then be absorbed by the set bonus.
The feral 4p bonus is a flat 12% reduction that shines in the position of main tanking reducing the numerous sources of large damage a MT will face.
While I say any tanking class can be a MT or OT I think Blizz did have MT/OT in mind for certain bonuses.

so you're saying blizz designed bear's gear for their MT role and warrior's gear for their OT role? that kinda sounds like you're saying druids are better MT's and warriors are better OT's. i would have to disagree.
warriors just got a little shorted with their 4 pc bonus this time around.

I had to head out the door in a bit of a hurry so had to cut it short but no, I don't believe X is better at one thing while Y is better at another.
I do however believe the warrior 4p, though indeed on the short end, is superior in the event of "OTing" as it basically turns bloodrage into a temporary invulnerability cooldown of sorts; after factoring in avoidances, damage reductions, and blocks a warrior has very little damage actually reaching them in an OT scenario as apposed to a bear and popping, bloodrage with 4p will allow a warrior to absorb numerous fractions of a hit that slip by without actually sustaining much of any damage at all.
The bear's 4p is just awesome and I'm not entirely sure why they didn't make everyone's a bit more even in relation but a flat percentage off all incoming damage is just so much more appealing in the seat of a MT, once again not saying X is better at one thing than Y is at another but I think the set bonuses will show their unique strengths in different areas.
