It is funny when everyone starts spamming /roll over and over and the raid leader quietly does a roll from one to ten or twenty-five, distributes loot appropriately, and causes everyone to absolutely flip out over absolutely anything they might have come into the raid upset about.
Blizzard making a new mechanic would not make people realize what a raid roll is, though.

Ok, to get a fiew things asside, the social window wil always ALWAYS show you as last member in the group.
So if the raidleader rolls 25 everyone from group 5 wil see themself as nr 25.
An advice when you happen to be 5/10/15/20/25, shut up about it being you, the way you see it doesn't matter *!@#, it's according to the raidleaders UI, not yours.
If I masterloot I simply go, "raidrolling "
Morons roll, I do my raidroll, give look to the one who wins, 2-4 people start whining. The people with a clue ignore it, saying thanks for the raid while always at least a fiew idiots nerdrage. You can gues how much I care about them.

Not many players have ever been master looter / seen the interface, so any raid leader who doesn't bother trying to prove he/she is being 100% honest to his/her raid deserves any grief they get.
So after gatherig 24 people wich is a pain in the ass I have to proof they can trust me?
I don't ninja, never have, never wil. The gear I use has been earned fair and square. I know not everyone is like that but accusing sombody for a ninja after I said "raidroll" is simply stupid.
-You don't know what raidroll is
-You don't know how it works
-yet you start accusing people.
Sounds odd to me.

The thing is, raid roll is used for things like Onyxia Gem sack, Crusader Orbs, and.... well that's about it. Is that really something to get upset over?

Smilingmen. If sombody doesn't know how raidroll works I doubt I wanne have anything to do with him. i'll gladly call myself an elitist. I don't want his trust.
I have plenty of friends and people that know me in the better guilds on my server progressionwise. Decent people that know how to play. I seriously couldn't care les that a bluegeared guildles hunter with stamgems calls me a ninja nor do I want his trust. He's only there because I wanted to get this thing started already.
On the other hand, for ICC25 PuG's I mostly ask the week before to friends from diferent guilds and ofcourse I get the occasional /w asking if I had planned anything for the week.
People /w me with that question a lot because I actualy lead a raid and not just get 24 guys invited and get going. I'm fast with the kickbutton(no -5k dps in my ICC25's...) and I assign people and go over tactics on any bos. With other words, I get heard. Many raidleaders can't lead for %^&* wich is one of the reasons I started doing it and while ofcourse it ain't just me in those instances, I do think a good raidleader can make a huge diference in the outcome of a PuG

Onyxia head, and rare mounts such as the VoA mammoth; BoE epics; all of those I've seen arguments over.
I lost the VoA mammoth a while back to a RL/ML which I suspect "ninjaed" it. I cannot know of sure, ofc, but he rolled a 3 and was awfully fast at MLing it to himself. He promptly disbanded the raid shortly after.
I did run in another pug the other day(Ony) and before the RL raidrolled he simply did a /raid I'm number X. That one sentence prevented any such drama. He could ofc have had friends in the raid he "gave" the loot to, but I doubt it.

the raidleader is always nr 5 if he's in group 1, 10 if he's in group 2, 15 if he's in group 3 etc.
So yep, it was a ninja.

Regarding the social raid frame, while your own group appears differently for everyone in it, everyone in group 1,2,3,4 will see group 5 the same way. You basically just have to ask someone in another group where he sees you in your own group to know what your number would be.
