I would compare it to Catholic priests who were convicted of molesting children since they are probably what's most in the limelight relative to Christianity.Or the IRA. There are still some underground groups active, after all.
This may seem like a stupid question, but why are you religious? What is it that attracts you to Islam?
Barring culture, parentage etc. I'm just asking for your own personal reasons.

These groups generally don't attribute their actions to their religion. When a Islamic radical blows up a building with children in it, the praise goes to allah.

Since this is 2nd-hand info and I've never read or studied it myself, this question may be way off base. I've been told that the first have of the Qur'an is very peaceful, but then Mohamed (sp?) got ticked off at the Christians or someone and then the 2nd half was full of "KILL THE HERETICS!" Like I said, just what I've heard and never studied it myself. The fact that this info always came to me via Christians preaching on the far left makes me want to second-guess it a little bit. I am Christian (Baptist), but not on the extreme left as some of those preachers are.
Edit: Also, what is the best website to read the Qur'an on? I found quran.com but there seems to be 6 slightly different English translations and wondered if there was any real difference between them.

I didn't understand what you said. Could you please repeat that with different wording?
Sorry for the quote pyramid, but I believe what MyTie is trying to say (since he isn't back yet with a response) is thatThese groups (Catholics, IRA, etc.) generally don't attribute their (illegal or extremist) actions to their religion, but when an Islamic radical blows up a building with children in it, the praise goes to allah.

If it helps to clarify at all, Wikipedia says...The phrase Black Muslims may describe any black people who are Muslim, but historically it has been specifically used to refer to African-American organizations that describe themselves as Muslim. Some of these groups are not considered to be Muslim by mainstream Sunni Muslims.
These include:
* Nation of Islam
* Moorish Science Temple of America
* American Society of Muslims
* United Nation of Islam
* The Nation of Gods and Earths
* Nuwaubianism
In a more general sense it can describe,
* Islam in the African diaspora
* African American Muslims

What is the Islamic stance on non-believers; i.e. do I have no chance to get into your heaven, some chance, just as much chance as you?
I know you believe Jesus was a prophet, and from what I've researched you believe our Bible is for the most part in error, but has some truth in it. If that's correct, how do you go about determining what's correct and what's not in the Bible (the same goes of the Torah)?
Why did Allah create the universe/man? From what I've seen, I don't see much mention of fatherly love on his part.
Do you call Allah God? (I mean I know that's what Allah means, but do you ever use the actual word in reference to him?)

For the third time, Ill ask, is this practice recognized By the heads of Islam (Dont know what your hierarchy is)
Did you read the article you linked lol:
Nation of Islam:
Wallace D. Fard came as God incarnate (God is man)
The Black race is superior than others, whites are devils
Black scientists created the plan (universe) which repeats every 25,000 years
Black scientists created and revealed the Bible and the Qur'an
