15-20 players who actually knew what they were doing (for the majority of MC/BWL)
And today a 25 man raid can be done with 25 players who don't really know what they're doing? So you're argument is that if about 50% of the players were geared and had alot of skill, then a 40 man raid could be successful?
I have raided pre BC. The non-40 man raids were not like that. You're saying that an elite group of 20 people with 20 other random people could clear content, isn't really saying much.
40 man raids were a bit of an exception. Try putting together a 10 man raid with 50% idiots on par with the level of the BC or pre BC content and see how well you do.

Your proof is here.
I'm pretty damned sure that PvE isn't dead yet. Do YOU have your
Charger
?
I didn't think so. Come back and complain when you've cleared all the latest PvP content on hardest mode without dieing once.

I think blizz could have given us more content. Most raids and basically all 5 mans are too short. They should have spent more time on end game content before they gave us wotlk if you ask me.

Can you imagine the crying is the first boss of Icecrown Normal-Mode required all 25 people to have at least 232 pieces in every slot in order to succeed?
Think of a thermometer with 4 million gradients on it. Throw a "Too hard" line a third from the bottom and a "Too easy" line a third from the top. There's your WoW population opinion on raid difficulty. You aren't going to make everyone happy. I think the current setup is pretty damn good.
Easy mode content is easy. Hardmode content is hard. Gearing up to do easy content is easy. IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE THIS WAY.

This is the answer right here. I thought we'd been over this a thousand times already, but some people just never learn.
Super hardcore raid content is only experienced by a small percentage of the WoW population. Blizzard doesn't want to waste development time on events only 5% of the game will raid.

Prove me wrong!
My following arguments:
It's too easy to get gear
The new bosses seams like ToC10/25 that you can just PuG
The hard part of world of warcraft is PvP
I loved 60 times in PvE because you needed to get an effort to get the gear.
In 70 times it was a bit tricky to get gear also but not that hard, in the end of sunwell it was like really easy
but it was IN THE END!
80times it was a bit hard in the begging (if you can call it that) but then they started nerfing Naxx and I was like "Well they are trying to make it easy for the new people" I can agree with that it's a good argument. But what is it up with JUST making Achievements hard to get and not killing the normal boss. Also some achivments are hard to get but you don't get anything to do it just a achievements that you are a geek?
Is that what we want WoW to come to?
Just Achievements?
This is not a hate post I just want to hear a good argument WHY, PvE is good.
So don't PvE then?
Why should I justify why I completely skip PvP to some random person on a message board?

I think my biggest complaint was people clearing Nax 25 in BC gear. Going from pre BC to BC, you just couldn't do that. Can you think of anyone clearing kara in level 60 gear? For quite a while, the best gear you could get for raiding after Wrath came out was BT and SWP gear. I think that's just retarded.

mhm well I have done many hardmodes on my warrior tank but I dont still think it's "fun". It's just doing it for achivments and thats just lame if you ask me. Just to get achivments thats show how "good" you are, but you can almost get the same gear that you get from hardmodes that you get from normal modes.
There is your problem, right there. You would like to use itemlevel as a means to measure progress and/or player skill. It no longer is, and in truth, never really was. ;-)

Agreed. We have an idiot tank on our server who seems to think that his gear score it what makes him good. He brags about it all the time. If you look at his gear, it's horribly itemized, and he's wearing
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=49487
and
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=47727
just to get the gear score high. I would prefer to wear
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=47216
before I wore either of those, unless the fight was very specific.
Can he tank better than me? Has he had as much progression as me? I would hope "no" to the first, and certainly no to the second. I actually wear
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=47216
into heroic ToC for some of the fights because I like the chance to increase my armor while I am stunning. Course, I don't have the Ignis or Yogg trinket, so it's my only secondary stam option, first is
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=47080
My guildies enjoy doing achivements. I don't really care one way or another, but I tag along for the attempts. (Recently out of town when they did The General Hard mode, now THAT I wanted to be present for).

Most of the people QQing about how "easy" PvE is are the same people I would give the boot to in a raid because they suck.
TOC normal is there for a reason: You need to be easily able to one shot it the whole place in order to even have a chance at TOGC.

Are you calling ToC normal a challenge? I hope not.. Ive seen players in greens and BOA gear full clear that place.. Hell even Heroic ToC is a joke if you have smart players you can clear it with a healer who is barely able to heal the tank let alone the group....
I was more stating that regular TOC is there to learn the basic mechanics of fights and get easy to obtain gear before moving on to TOGC. Also, groups with fail dps can be carried through a lot of the fights in TOC, that is not the case in TOGC. You can't "carry" someone through TOGC if you're trying to progress through it.
I'm not top 50 or any of that stuff, I mean I'd like to do that, but it's not in the cards at the moment... I healed TOGC 10 on my priest and got through the beasts, and that is definitely a pretty healing intensive fight. I don't see how fail healers or dps or tanks can get you through that.
