Yes, I did say I was not going to pvp as a Lock any more, but I miss it. I played with a Ret pally on my trees druid in a 2v2. I got my FOTM with the OP'ness of my ret team mate's brust and CDs, Plus the endless mana I have as a druid.
I miss the cc. I miss locking 2 people down at the same time with my pet and my fear. I miss porting away after doting every one up and watch them run around trying to find where I went too.
But I have burned bridges, I trashed my gear to save bank space. Full deadly gemmed and enchanted. but now with the new season I want it get back in.
I will 2v2 with a Resto Shaman or and Resto Druid.
here is the spec that will get me back in 2v2s
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#IbxzrhrAoVAMhkt0GMhkhb:jMp
I found Coex was just a little lack luster, Seeing how MS Warriors + any healer Healer comps are the real killers for my comp. and Coex dose not slow a warrior down who can charge/intercept you.
I took Imp CoA for more Damage, CoA at its last few ticks hits hard and is almost brusty when stacked Corr + UA + haunt’s ticks, The last burst ticks of CoA can make room for of a kill when the healer is feared. I have won vs that comp before. It is so hard!
Any ways I grabbed some Frost savage gear and some deadly gear with my left over honor points. I am setting at 18k HP, 500 resil, 1650 SP.
I just want to get into the +800 ratings for now to get better gear
What is the needed stat to get me to get a +800 rating?
Before locks could 2v2 very well with 22k HP 750 resil, and 2.5k SP (buffed), I will not be seeing stats like that again for some time :*(

Here it is
, it's messy, but the best specs usually are. Practical over pretty my dear.
Amplify Curse and CoEX. Amplify curse isn't the best, but 0.5 seconds is more of an advantage than it sounds in a PvP environment, especially when DoT'ing multiple targets.
Curse of Exhaustion is worth a single talent point, even though Warriors have charge etc. Think about it like this. You throw CoEX onto the enemy's pet, then jump off the bridge in Blades Edge Arena - the pet staggers around its poorly designed path 30% slower. If a Warrior is training your partner, you can put it on the Warrior to give your partner a slight time advantage.
I understan the function of CoEx. I was specked for it before I trashed my gear. It only helped with pallies, DKs, and slowing Healers as I ran around a piller making a melee Los his healer. It is just too weak of a slow to make it worth it.
What I do not understand is why take both CoEx and Imp CoA. So Why?
A 15% MS effect and 5% bonus damage. Well the MS effect isn't active all too often, simply because HoT's aren't as common as many people think, unless of course fighting a Resto Druid. The bonus damage however is nice, but there are just better things to spend talent points on.
Well shadow trance will let me put 2 stacks of Shadow Embrace on a target, making it 10% added damage and 30% Hot MS for only 5 talent points. I am useing Glyph of Corr so Shadow trance will proc a lot.
Into Demonology now. Imp Health Funnel over 2x Demonic Brutality. You shouldn't be relying on VW bubble with a healer, and it has quite a long cooldown. Roll with Felhunter to get more kill opportunities, the Voidwalker will still be used on occasion, but not enough for the talent to really be worth it.
Improved Health Funnel is a thing alot of people can't get their head around taking in PvP. But time and time again I see good Warlocks use it. They simply tap it when that Mage attempts to shatter your pet, and the pet takes a fraction of the incoming damage. Or if a Rogue opens on your pet, you can stand their channeling HF until your partner gets the heals onto the pet under control.
Yes Imp HF is grate in the higher rattings. But look at my HP. I need that my VW's bubble when being attacked by dubble DPS teams that I am slow on locking down. When fighting Healer-DPS teams the fel puppy is grate.
Also seeing how I am will be starting with 0 rating, most people in the lower rating do not take the time to kill my pet any ways. CC works just as well.
Also you took 2/2 imp LT. I found that I had time to get a fast drink off If I needed mana. Why take it?
Or you could spec Destruction which still seems to do better than Affliction, even after the Resilience change.
I love Destruction's Burst. and It cc. I just want to go back to aff.
Thanks, can any one tell me the stats needed to get up to +1500

People will start killing your pets around 1500 rating (that's not high).
And if you're able to get a drink, you're facing absolute garbage in arena. In an actual match, you will almost never be able to get one off so ImpLT is a must imo.
As for stat wise to 1500; can't put a number to it, but you should be farming Wintergrasp and BG's as much as you can to get out of the crap you're wearing.
I just want to 800 so i can get better gear. then do 2 WG's day. BG and WG farming alone takes way too long to get gear.
later i will try to make a real team to make it to +2500

I have see some very wired spec in arenas so I know it is more about you gear than anything.

Here is my spec for when I hit +1500.
I need to know about stats! spec time is over.
What is the the ratio of stam, to spell power, to resil, to crit, to hast
I know I can get by with 6% hit.

Well, I could not find a Healer. so I am going to run with a Hunter just for the points.
I know, I know! we will be no help to each other. I do not even know his spec. we start today.
This will be bad but points are points. do you see any thing that would help other than the respecing again, to destro?

It is just a matter of rooting the melee when I am ccing. If the melee is siting on me then Fear will never be cast when it is need.
