@zzeuss - your spec isn't correct you have points in outbreak over BcB and no CotG which is important for DW frost DPS. Gemming for hit after 8 percent untalented is not really necessary unless you find you are missing alot.
@Damil - That is a crazy amount of misses for an OS 3D run. First off you were parried and dodged 30 times were you infront of him and with 20 expertise that's a lot of dodges. What weapons are you using? You miss more in one fight than I miss in 3 boss fights in ulduar and I have 313 hit. I will get a screen shot of a boss fight tonight and post it. Can you show us your armory?
Also, Diminishing Returns is on every stat. It has nothing to do with weapons and everything to do with how much bang for your buck you get per point.

Yes, and no. I am at a point where there is no hit on gear, so I have to decide to grab a gear upgrade and gem hit to stay above 8 percent or stay with the high hit gear. I would say get the glove enchant and icewalker for your boots before gemming for hit. I like to stay around 10 percent hit just for safety sake. Missing more than 5 percent of the time is pretty nasty.

You are misunderstanding the rotation. Please remember we are a priority rotation not a set in stone rotation. I gave an example as to what a basic rotation would look like not what the exact rotation is. There are some cases where my rotation will go OB/FS/HB(Rime/KMproc)/OB/OB/IT/PS/FS/FS/FS/FS/OB/FS/OB/BS/BS/RimeHB/Pest. As you can see my rotation is not set in stone it varies as to what is available based on our Priority rotation. I understand your problem the 3rd OB is best case scenario, however it is not always available.
@Raulnor
On the first page I covered that in regards to if you are responsible for maintaining the Haste Buff. If you do IT/PS as early as you did in that rotation you will gimp your dps because you are cutting off your diseases. Pest only improves your dps, by simplifying the rotation saving you a gcd and allowing smoother rotations. However, IT and BS glyphs are actual dps improvements though not much a one of that. The key to IT/PS reapplying is waiting until the 18 seconds is almost up on your diseases before reapplying because your IIT buff I believe is 20 seconds you should be good to reapply your disease and have nothing fall off. If you have to reapply the Haste buff by Using IT/PS you lose the Rime/HB GCD often in your rotation which is why the pestilence glyphed is favored.

Has anyone had a chance to theorycraft the popular Reaper of Dark Souls vs. the Ironforge Smasher / Ironforge Smasher in DW Frost builds? Assuming an abundance of hit, how does the loss of 132 attack power across both hand slots compare to the gains in weapon damage?

Your rotation is correct. However you have some information incorrect, the spell hit cap (for raiding with a spriest or boomkin) would be 11 percent which is not 289 which is closer to 9 percent. The white hit cap is 21 percent talented that's around 500 plus. Which is a bit unrealistic in terms of an attempt to get to it. I like to sit around 10 percent hit cap.
@Maikuchini
Your expertise is low, but that's fine you are only a beginning raider so it's not as important. You will get expertise from gear as you progress along. I would not gem hit unless you fall below 300 hit rating, until then gem strength. ArP is not gemmed for until you get closer to 6000 AP raid buffed.I am sitting at 5k AP raid buffed with 17 percent ArP and around 315 hit rating. My miss rate is around 9-10 percent on melee. I am too low for my taste on expertise which leads to about 10-15 dodges per boss fight combining all my attacks, that is not good because it's a notable loss of dps. However I am getting the gear to make the necessary adjustments. Keep running heroics get into Naxx/OS/EoE for now to get some gear to continue along your progression.
@brokenhalo
Weapon stats don't matter. 132 ap is not worth the loss of better weapon damage on the Grimhorn Crushers. The difference between average weapon damage may seem marginal until you factor in that weapon damage is the basis for all of our attacks except IT/BB/HB. This makes average weapon damage the most important stat for weapons.

Hi guys tried Frost dw last night for the first proper time in a few hc's and was impressed to say the least, biggest noticable differance to my main dps spec ( unholy ) is that with frost damage done seems almost immediate where as with unholy it feels as if u *build* ur dps as the fight goes on.
usually with unholy i get 3.5k ish in hc's with frost i was getting around 3k.
however i wasn't using ANY rotation and the onloy cap im hitting is hit i have 10.42%
so i can see frost dw once all caps are achived possibly doing more damage than unholy 2h =D
am toying with the idea of using frost in naxx 25 tonight instead of my main spec will post how things go numberwise etc if i use frost.

8% - Melee's Special hit cap.
10% - Alliance Spell hit cap if raiding with Draenei/Boomkin/Shadowpriest - must have all 3.
11% - Horde spell hit cap if raiding with Boomkin and Shadowpriest (Misery and Fairie Fire)
14% - DK spell hit cap if specced into Virulence
17% - unbuffed and untalented Spell hit cap
21% - Melee DW white hit cap
The spell hit chance buffs does not stack, so you only need one s. priest or boomkin.

Your numbers make sense, your friends don't. I don't see him doing 6k dps on anyone with those stats. My stats blow his out of the water, and I can't get to 6k dps, except on rare boss fights like XT and Thaddius. Something has to be wrong with your recount or he may just be making numbers up. Your numbers are closer to what real numbers look like, unless he has some crazy trinket buffs I don't see how he can get those numbers except for brief periods against multiple adds.
@213238
I like your gear. Expertise is a bit high, but other than that you are solid. I would switch your blue gem to a strength stam over a hit/stam one. Switching to a 53/18 would help you out a bit. It's a possibility your rotation is just not pat yet. The Blood DK from my guild has had some trouble attempting to DW.
@greatbrae
Thank you, I put it down like that, but screwed up and forgot that the word was or and not and. I made the necessary adjustments
On a side note, I ran 53/18 last night through Uld 10 when i got to dps, and on stand still fights I was about 200 dps behind the superior geared Blood DK. On movement fights I was about 200 dps ahead of him, I was only doing around 4k dps, but that's the highest I have done on Uld 10. I had to tank most of the fights so was unable to see my dps on a larger scale only on certain boss fights did I switch to dps spec.
My guild's Blood DPS DK, who is our best dps guy tried out 53/18 DW spec, and had an insane amount of threat trouble, and hated the loss of single target dps. He dropped close to 1k dps on boss fights, but gained a nice amount of dps on mob fights. However, he pulled off me at least 10 times during heroics, finally he gave up and went back to blood spec where he was more comfortable. I had a problem on xt hard mode. In the first 30 seconds of the fight I pulled right off the tank, and had to wait 15 seconds till I could dps again, and within no time I had passed everyone in threat, but was far enough behind the tank where I couldn't catch him.
Personally, I loved 53/18 way more than 3/53/15, however there is a nasty threat issue. It's not minor at all, at times I have no problems with straight dpsing. However it is advisable to wait till the tank has a good 15-20k threat before beginning. Last night, my tps was between 5-6k without crits. Toss in a few Rime/KM procs and it was even higher. I am going to put subtlety on my cloak and see if that will help the threat. Finding someone who can do subtlety to cloak is going to be tougher.
