I wouldn't take it. I believe that death is meant for everyone to come and you should not try and avoid it. And I already know your looking at my sig....

It would depend on the type of immortality.
If it is like elven immortality where you can be killed, but not by time, then I'd probably take it.
If it's a Captain Scarlet type thing where you are completely indestructible then I'd decline, wouldn't want to get caught in a black hole for the rest of existence.

If it was immortality as in I just don't age, no thanks because my heaven (or hell really) is really good.
But if it was immortality as in I
can't
die, I'd take it just so I can wander around the globe, constantly learning and recording.
Knowing everything would own.

Wow, very interesting opinions from the crowd,
Id probably take it, but I would wonder if if I would adapt to changes in the environment and evolve, or if I would stay in the current condition forever.
Millions and maybe even thousands of years ago oxygen levels along with other things were different, present day man could not have survived then. Could end up in a similar situation, just food for thought, lol.
I'd be scared of this one.
Probably not, people would get suspicious fairly quickly. You'd constantly be on the run, then there's all the forgeries and lying.
@Kathbrian, what's wrong with people knowing that you're immortal?

Lol? People would want to try to extract the secret from you of how you became immortal, or how to replicate your gift, or they could just bury you in the earth for thousands of years, etc. etc. etc.

Immortality? No. Extended age, yes.
Death is a fundamental part of life. They must coexist.

I would rather be insane than dead.
Existance is greater than non-existance.
