Fire and Brimstone: No longer increases the damage of your Immolate spell, but now increases the bonus damage your Incinerate deals to targets afflicted by your Immolate by 6/12/18/24/30%.
it increases just the bonus portion by up to 30%... is that enough?
there's also
"Conflagrate updated: Consumes an Immolate or Shadowflame effect on the enemy target to instantly deal damage equal to 12 seconds of your Immolate, or 8 seconds of your Shadowflame."
but that seems to be pretty much a break even.
edit:
...except that
"Glyph of Conflagrate redesigned: When you use Conflagrate, the damage done by your next 3 Destruction spells is increased by 10% for 15 seconds if the Immolate on the target has 5 or fewer seconds remaining."
so no more conflags on cooldown >.<
knee-jerk reaction:
all in all i think the FnB boost needs to be far greater to cover the losses but this will need looking at far more closely.

Will FnB still increase the Crit chance of Conflag on targets with 5 or fewer seconds of Immo remaining? If yes, I think it sounds like a good change, but if no then...

Wow... With Askawas edit I now see that Blizz just wants to delete the Destruction tree.
I hope that 3.2 takes a long time to get here then, as my arena career will most likely be over when it hits.

lol.
overly apocalyptic but at least funny ^^
as ever folks, remember that this is on ptr now, it's not a hotfix. i'm sure that blizz are looking at numbers similar to the simcraft numbers we see and i'm sure they know that destro needs a bump. it also looks like they weren't happy with the conflag glyph meaning there's no downside to conflagging and want to bring that idea back.
my guess is that it's going to take a couple of iterations for them to be able to satisfy both of those ideas. my guess is that the conflag glyph change is a keeper (let's start getting used to that now) but the other changes are going to be altered a bit before this thing ever sees live.

How about adding this?
Nether Protection - Now reduces all damage by that spell school by 30% for 8 sec. Down from 60%.
They just want us dead in PvP.

WHAT? I'm fine with not letting it stack, but just nerfing it in half? Lovely.
Wow. So much for loving destro for pve and pvp.

I guess I should try out a PvP Meta build.

Fire and Brimstone: No longer increases the damage of your Immolate spell, but now increases the bonus damage your Incinerate deals to targets afflicted by your Immolate by 6/12/18/24/30%.This might actually be a buff, considering a large portion of our damage comes from Incinerate. Conflagrate updated: Consumes an Immolate or Shadowflame effect on the enemy target to instantly deal damage equal to 12 seconds of your Immolate, or 8 seconds of your Shadowflame. This is just a tooltip correction to show the nerfed version of Conflagrate.Glyph of Conflagrate redesigned: When you use Conflagrate, the damage done by your next 3 Destruction spells is increased by 10% for 15 seconds if the Immolate on the target has 5 or fewer seconds remaining. This is too much. This changes our rotation completely and lowers our damage significantly.Nether Protection - Now reduces all damage by that spell school by 30% for 8 sec. Down from 60%.This was slightly necessary, but too much of a nerf. One of Destruction's only defenses (only from casters) has just gotten halved. If it needed adjusting, just don't let it stack from other schools anymore.

assuming FnB still boosts conflags crit rate what we have is conflag is used once every 12 seconds (immediately after the second to last tick of immo is best) with 25% more crit than your other spells. it also makes the next 3 spells hasted and 10% stronger.
it's a trickier rotation and the destro rotation was fairly tricky anyway, but i don't think the glyph change itself is such a nerf. i won't comment on PvP but i don't think it's necessarily
all
doom and gloom.

so the rotation will be back to being about as tricky as it was prior to 3.1, when you were keeping up CoA/Corr/Immol, plus juggling conflag and chaos bolt cooldowns (maybe a bit more tricky, but not unmanageable)
should also see significantly more pyroclasm procs since your conflag crit rate will be higher than it was previously
probably not enough of a buff to put deep destro on top, but should be an improvement

It isn't, at least it's not anything significant. Remember this is only multiplying the bonus damage Incinerate gains from having Immolate on the target, so the bonus of 145 (minimum) becomes a whole 188. Not exactly significant.
I don't whether this bonus damage is even accounted by spellpower scaling; e.g, does the bonus increase with spellpower? If it does, the buff might amount to more, but I highly doubt it. The bonus damage of incinerate for having immolate on the target reminds me too much of
Cleave
, and this change reminds me too much of
Imp Cleave
. Ask any warrior how worthwhile that talent is.
I was really looking forward to having a PvE viable destruction build (that was 500+ DPS behind the alternatives) to play with, but it is looking less and less likely. This might boost it a little but I still don't think it'll be competitive with FG/Ember, Meta and Affliction. Assuming this is all they have planned.

according to a blue post from GC, it should make incinerate hit ~24% harder:
MMO blue tracker
just working some quick numbers, a 24% incinerate damage buff would work out to about a 600dps boost for me
i think we'll have to see some numbers off the PTR before we really come to a conclusion on this
