Sir Robin the Not-Quite-So-Brave-As-Sir-Lancelot, who nearly faced the fierce dragon of Angnor, who almost stood up to the vicious chicken of Bristol, and who personally wet himself at the Battle for Badon Hill

Mel Brooks has done some 'ok' stuff. But a lot of his work is just... not funny at all. He tries to be cheesy over the top funny. It doesn't work. It's just cheesy. Monty Python's humor is completely random, and rediculous, deadpanning. Classic and genious.
