I don't see any need to be so rude, I'm not on Epic Gear yet. Savage Saronite and greens from Quest Rewards.
Ok i'll bite.
This is a dps spec? Then why do you have: Blade Barrier, Toughness, Will of Necropolis, Scent of Blood?
And why do you not have clear dps talents like: Bloody Vengeance, Abominations Might, and Sudden Doom?
Also, 14k dps? Thats impossible with sub epic gear, unless your counting burst dps only. I dont even know if 14k average dps is possible for full ilevel 213+ gear. I hear people bragging about doing 4-5k dps, and your talking about 3 times that much.

I wouldn't use either of the builds just posted exactly, but they're more on the "right" track. A word of advice to the OP: think about what abilities you use in battle, and how they work. For example, in a Blood rotation you'll use Heart Strike, Oblit (or Death Strike after 3.1), and Death Coil as your heavy hitters. Of these, none do Frost damage and only one does Shadow damage. Yet, your latest spec still has five points put into Black Ice. If you don't know how an ability works, use Wowhead here to look them up, and once you have that knowledge, read your talents carefully and build accordingly. But, your second build is definitely an improvement on your first.

For this build to work you would HAVE to get the new glyphs for rune wep and dark death. Its nice that I wont have to cast my dc any more when it procs but I still have the fact that blizz nerfed my obliterate to hell. Im DLing the ptr now to see what I can do with the new builds. I'll get back to everyone.
I am a Blood DK atm and can do 3K+ dmg on any mob up. 6k+ on 25 mans. The patch is annoying in my opinion so make sure to look into all the new builds prior to it coming out or else you'll be stuck with a HUGE respec bill.
On a side note. With the new t8 armor relying on diseases up on a target. I'm thinkin Blood and frost maybe be dead DPS wise till they fix it. We'll see I suppose.
Black Ice effects your plague damage, which will be ticking on your targets at all times. So it is a good talent even if your not actually using any direct damage abilities that are frost/shadow.
DS is the new OB for blood spec'd dps in 3.1 Learn to love it, and spec heavily into it.

Major Glyphs: DS, disease, and w/e third you want. I'd take rune tap.
Rotation: PS>IT>DS>HS>HS>DS>HS>HS>HS>Pest
put in a pest between IT and DS for aoe groups. Use pest to refresh your frost fever and blood plague instead of using PS/IT. If HS is available hit it, if not hit DS, and then just hit pest whenever your diseases are about to drop off. Dont use runic power dumps. Keep capped at 130 for harder hitting DS.
One of the really nice things about the changes to blood and the way this build works, is you are almost guaranteed to never need to be healed ever. So no more swearing at the healers for not giving melee dps any love during boss aoe.

Hmmm perhaps I'm wrong but from what I gathered from PTRs Unholy is the one getting Nerfed while Blood and Frost are getting improvements.
Aris, most people I know would say go for Improved Rune Tap if you go for Rune Tap, 30 sec cooldown is much more useful than 60 I believe. (Specially since "it keeps your from swearing at the healers for not giving Meele DPS any love during boss ace."
Yes, blood is very useful because of all the Healing, but doesn't always work 100%, Bloodworms aren't there forever, and Death Pact and the new CD on Raise Dead makes it harder to use that combo, but otherwise, yes, Heals for a lot of Damage, gives the Healers a break most of the time. :)
You'd also want to keep your Runic Power capped for Dancing Rune Weapon I believe, no?
I haven't seen any nerfs in unholy, except for maybe the bone shield change. But if you look at blizz's overall goal you realize its, again, less of a nerf and more of a change of mechanics. They don't want DK tanks to have to rely on chaining cooldown abilities. They want us to be survivable with no cooldowns, and to just have cooldowns at our disposal for emergencies. So yes they increased bone shield by 1 min, but they made other changes in other places as well that don't require you to keep bone shield up so much.
3 points in imp rune tap is unnecessary. It doesn't help the glyph of rune tap at all if you choose to take it. Also since you'll be using death strike for all F/U runes, you wont really need it as much as you may now.
I would never suggest using blood worms, it has the potential of wiping a raid.
Again, you shouldnt need to death pact for health if your spamming DS for all F/U runes, along with the passive health regen from imp blood presence. remember this is blood dps, not blood tanking discussion.

, and only attack what you attack. Who cares if they get one shot by AOE, they add at least 70 dps, depending on how many spawn.
Reasons why my build is leet and everyone elses sucks:
1. Corpse Explosion? Seriously?
2. Improved Blood Presence is only really useful if your raid has *!@# dps on Loatheb, to keep yourself up during Dooms. Other than that, useless.
3. Rune Tap, No need. With the Permaghoul available higher, Death Pact is better for a quick healing burst.
4. The reason my build doesn't include Dancing Rune Weapon? Major Nerf. While I've heard it's getting rebuffed in later patches, no thanks.
5. Once again, Bloodworms provides an extra bit of healing to make up for the loss of Rune Tap, and add dps.
6. In conclusion, were looking at maxing out dps, not survivability.
That's just my personal opinion. Feel free to disagree.

You sure about that? i've heard people report otherwise. People have come here saying their bloodworms took off to attack mobs in a group that wasnt aggro'd yet, and wiped their group.

That's what I'm assuming. I suggest checking blue posts on the official forums.
edit: As well, you don't need imp blood presence either, the healing from regular and and DS should be enough to keep you topped off in small aoe situations. Death Pact is for emergencies, ie healer dc's.
