Here's yet
ANOTHER
article detailing corruption concerning government controled climate. The article summarizes the TRILLIONS of dollars to be gained by the government by its proposed climate bill, and here's what the EPA has to say about it EPA Administrator Jackson confirmed an EPA analysis showing that unilateral U.S. action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions would have no effect on climate.

I'm extremely disappointed that no one bothered to discuss the article I found. So much corruption, and we'd rather list pokemon like blockheads.

I don't see your point? The article specifically says that it's because China and India refuse to follow suit.
With China and India recently issuing statements of defiant opposition to mandatory emissions controls,

The point is that legislation that admittantly will NOT work is still passed. On a side not, the legislation, when passed, will raise trillions of dollars for the government, at the expense of the US economy.
I have cancer. I know that drinking my neighbor's blood won't cure me, but I sure will try! God bless the USA! When I look at the actions of the congress, I am ashamed to have ever served in the military.

Was it passed before or after it was decided it wouldn't work?

A proper analogy would be if your neighbors
and other people's
blood would cure you of cancer, but only your neighbor's blood was obtainable but he doesn't want to give it.

I'll agree with that. Now imagine that we were to sit and debate taking his blood anyway. That is congress for you. Sucking the blood out of our economy to line thier pockets in the name of saving humanity.
I crap on congress!

Yet you seem pretty sure that it'll pass?
Then again...

I misread. It DID pass on June 26. The EPA admitted and testified on June 8th that it would not help.
$4.7 trillion is the amount congress stands to gain from the bill's passing.
I repeat: I crap on congress.

Crap away in that case.

Those no good congresspeople need to be ousted from office and exiled from the country for treason.

Or you could work to remove them from office. Which would probably be easier than having them impeached for treason. Which is as far as it would go.
You
pick the representative. You should work to
unpick
the representative if he dissatisfies you so much.

That's the cool thing about government where people are elected into office, everyone is responsible for every mistake.

More like no one is. Besides, this isn't just a 'mistake'. That trillions of dollars. Not like a fender bender. Not like leaving the lights on when you leave a room. The people didn't make a boo boo. They are criminally corrupt, and there is nothing I can do to fix it.
I can protest. I can write letters. I can vote for someone else. I can make tomato paste. All of these are equally effective.

A lot of people can protest. A lot of people can write letters. A lot of people can vote for someone else. A lot of people can make tomato paste. All of these are equally effective.
You realize the stupidity of your statement now, I hope?
Again, you can sit and whine and complain and do nothing, or you can get involved. If you aren't involved, you have no right to do the above.

First of all, I do have a right to do the above. Every citizen does have a right to criticize the system, even if they aren't 'involved', whatever that means. Do I have to attend party rallies? Do I have to write letters to my senators? Do I have to serve in the military? WHAT do I have to do, Skyfire, to be 'involved' enough to be worthy in your eyes of criticizing the senators that STEAL over 10 trillion from the US taxpayers? Where do you get the chutzpah to say that someone 'doesn't have the right' to question that?

MyTie, you feel similarly to how many liberals felt in time periods where republicans held a majority in congress, except more so because you are so arrogant you fail to realize that how you feel is not unique, and while you say 'they won't do anything if I protest' you are actually, at least subconsciously adding '...but they should'
You do have the right to question that, but I have the right to support it and have my own perspective on it, as do the people who voted for said congressperson.
Mytie, you are not infallible, please at least begin to understand this.
1) Republicans are not conservative.
2) I didn't state that I was unique.
3) Yes, my protests should matter....
4) I never said I was infallible... but at least I didn't take trillions of dollars away from the american people for a cause that will not help us, in order to make myself look 'green', in order to get reelected. You see, thronnar, I am not a sellout senator. And all of your distractions aimed at me will do nothing to get the spotlight off of the slimes in office.
Sorry.

You can't criticize if you sat on your thumbs and didn't vote at all.
Hitler was elected and I didn't vote in the election which put him into power. I guess I can't be critical of him, then?
