wether it gets used at the begining or end of a fight rarely matters and 99 % of the time the shaman knows when to use it so STFU and be glad u get BL
Actually it matters quite a bit when it gets used, usually depending on the fight. It's best to use it as early as possible, because chances are the most people are alive to use it at that point and it gets the cooldown going faster, not to mention on those 6-minute fights it ensures a 2nd BL. However, on other fights you want to save it for the frenzy (e.g. Maexxna) or until the second cycle of the fight (e.g. after Noth teleports back the first time), but in general there's a reason people want BL ASAP.

Really bugs me.
Someone over threats tanks and gets hit for 14k or better, one shotted.... HAHA, then they get mad because your healing the tank for damage control and not them, they die and start calling for WTB Heals because you value the tank over them.
MAGE, GET OUT OF THE POISON CLOUDS. USE A BANDAID, NO TIME FOR YOU.

Tanks who can't outaggro a single WF Triple Crit.
Being in LFG with "Enhancement DPS 3.5k ATP, 2.7k st dps" and getting asked "Heals?"
People asking me to respec to heal 25-Naxx with my sub-par resto set.
More of a jcing related strife.
"Can you cut me a Bold Sky Sapphire?"
/facepalm
"I'd like 3 Mystic Dragon's Eyes please?"
Ok, back on topic.
"Stop dropping Windfury, Drop Grace of Air please." - 80 rogue in naxx gear.
"It got merged into Strength of Earth" - me
"Drop Grace of Air" - rogue
"It doesnt exist anymore" - me
You have been removed from the party.

As far as the BL/ heroism deal, i dont normally blow it as soon as the fight starts, I try to wait about 5 secs or so to let people get into there rotation
I dont mean like 0.5 seconds instead of 4 seconds in (I normally drop my totems then BL), but within the first 10-15 seconds instead of 2-3 minutes in.

Just a list of things that $%^& off myself as an everyday shaman.
It's SHAMEN not SHAMANS
"Dude, use stoneskin to slow the zombies on the gluth fight"
For most fights, i know exactly what i'm doing. Please no "drop this totem and drop that totem" -.-
Enhancement is abbreviated ENH not ENCH. ENCH=enchanting.
"Shamen require less skill to play than any other class" no, that's a DK.
Add some, reject some, whatever.
Just something to think about
You lost me at It's SHAMEN not SHAMANS
Go roll a hunter.

While this isn't quite in the spirit of the thread, I'm going to post my gripe anyway:
The number one thing that ^&*!es me off as an elemental shaman? Mana per 5 on set pieces. For instance, the 16 MP5 on the T7 gloves. Worse yet, the 62 MP5 among three pieces of the new Valorous Worldbreaker Garb. If I can finish a 10-man Kel'thuzad fight with around 80% mana and have my mana detonated three or four times, do I really need more of this stat?
Agreed!
We ALREADY have enough of
mp5
,
mana return
and
mana!
cost!
god damn reducing!
talents.
So instead, give us more of the goodie stats, and throw that useless mp5 on our gear to our fellow resto shamans.

I'm pretty sure I've never seen Blizzard use Shamen or Shamans. They use Shaman. I'll go by Blizzard, as they're anal with their grammar.
Doesn't mean they're right. I trust the dictionary and etymologists more than Blizzard when it comes to language.

Okay shut up about whether it's Shaman, Shamans, or Shamen already!
Back on topic, the thing that !@#$es me off the most has already been listed here a couple times: being in LFG with the comment "enhancement (not a healer)", and people whispering me with "spec?"
/facepalm indeed

can understand some aspect must be hard for shamans then they are raiding:
people jabbing in raid chat about Bloodlust all times.
People telling totems usage several times in an instance
In my raiding grp in the guild we do tell the shaman to use heroism sometimes but we only do that because it will help in the fight. Some fights are intense dps race so saying herosim rarely matters is really outdated. We do not say it all times allthou, the rl just writes or say use herosim and it is all. Using herosim on trash is a big waste imo:)
The totems are a shamans job, we usually just ask in the beginning that the shaman uses a certain totem bcs out grp is melee or caster friendly. So we get more dps out of it, also reminds during certain boss fights if they could use a posion totem or something. In the big raid 25 man the shaman leader just sorts it out or another class leader in a whisper.
As a paladin i am a bit curious, why so angry about the way you say your class. Shamans or shaman. As a paladin i never encountered any of this type of angerness and we paladin are used as a shooting board from trolls and from ourself. Every paladin love to have a word fight amongst themself. But i guess with so much attacking from posters we got no time to argue about our pronounciation. exampels: pala, pally, bubble boy, op nerf paly lol etc.
anyways have fun shamans
