I can't view your armory, but I would not think so. I could only see doing this if you have a large amount of spell power already, and no haste.
The more sp you have, the more haste will increase your dps. But, as you get more and more haste, the dps increase per point gets smaller.
I imagine there is a certain point where 1 point of haste gives more of a dps increase then 1 point of sp, but I expect it is a very small and circumstantial window that this remains true.
Check out shadowpriest.com for the theory crafting.

Haste is nice, but not something you want to sacrafice for in sp. SP comes right after hit raiting on usefulness and haste does squat for instant cast spells (apart from their GCD).
Your 96 haste will give you roughly 3% haste raiting.

I would keep the spellpower or if you do want to change something, then choose crit.

Typically, from the Pseudopower values:
Spell Power = 1
Haste = 0.62
Crit = 0.62
So, from this, it is obvious that 96 sp > 96 haste. However, your haste is a little on the low side. You need 299 haste to get two Mind Flays in between a Mind Blast. With lag, etc, you are going to need a little more. You might find that boosting your haste from 243 to 339 (your plan) gets those Mind Flays working a bit better and you may end up doing more damage. As a JC, the cost of swapping the gems shouldn't be that bad.

Enchant your rings!
He's a JC, I highly doubt he's also a chanter...

JC/chanter...ouch that's an expensive combo, but ultimately powerful.

You still want some haste though, it allows you to move from target to target faster, but agree a 1:1 ratio is a terrible idea. You should be able to get enough haste through gear.

People should stop thinking about stats in terms of "haste", "crit" etc, and instead think about them in terms of DPS. For any given slot/socket/enchant, you take the item that gives you the stat that will give you the highest DPS.
Bah...I've been on to many different topics, was thinking this was sp vs haste for a healer. It's what, 200 is considered the ideal amount of haste for a spriest? You want enough so you can throw 2 MF inbetween MB's. But even with that, sp is easily the most important stat (once you reached the hit cap that is).
