I dont really care much for WoW, but I figure I might as well try it out.
One of the good news is my friend is there to help me, pretty much 24/7. Bad news are Im terrible at maps, and I cant decide what class and race to play.
Its bound to be Alliance, since my friend plays that goat-race-thingy.
And for classes... well. I kinda already had my mind set on rogues, not because bandwagons are fun, but because I cant stand slow attacking. Apparently my computer adds a bit of lag to the whole process, which makes DPS a clear choice.
On the other side, Ive heard that paladins are great for beginners, and I should agree, with the whole healingyourself-thing and flashy bright skills. But I dont wanna start one, just to get bored of it at 60 and start a new character.
My friend recommended druid, with arguments like "you can transform into animals", and "but theyre fast too" and "lots of HP".
So here I am, reaching out to the community. GUIDE ME WISE ONES.

See, Em. Pally or Dr00d. ^,^
Plus, Dual-specc is coming out soon too so it will be even easier to switch between two speccs.
AND, 1-60 is really easy. Since they boosted the quest exp gains.

If that's your friends reasoning for playing or not playing a druid, I wouldn't listen to anything he says, as he probably really doesn't know much about the game then.

So far dual-spec costs 1000g, so if he's beginning he won't be having dual-spec anytime soon.

Thanks everyone for your welcomes and advices. Ive narrowed it down to druid or rogue.
Since druid would be the 'good' decision, but Im more charmed by rogues as it is now.
Doesnt hurt to try both, though, does it? ;D

(Full edit... lol I should learn to read the whole threads)
You can indeed level them both, but here's the deal : You only start seeing the class' full fledged array of abilities at level 40 (This is where all classes get interesting, tbh).
By then, you will be able to learn how to DPS very well in Kitty form (Or Moonkin form, depending on if you want to level Feral or Balance), and you will see how sneakishly awesome rogues are (I have a bias, my main is a rogue <3). If you quit on a class at level 15 saying "They're boring", well, you still have a LOT to do before you really know your class and can state it's boring.
My bit of advice? Rogues are raw DPS, hit like trucks, but they die really fast. Druids have the ability to heal themselves from level 1. You can stick to rogues if you want, because in theory, they *should* do more damage then druids, no matter what the DPS spec of druids. But by then, it's really your call.

Well leveling (to 40+) won't be a problem as I'm free to help HER anytime. Boosting her through instances should get her some nice gold too. :) And even if I haven't played rogue, I know some of their "jobs" in instances.
