Could someone tell me, how Pokemon trading works, these days? I have never actually played a legit copy of Pokemon, so assume that my knowledge of the case is nonexistent. I would have read up on it on a place like Serebii, but they seem to be focusing too much on other interesting things, than on explaining how trading works D:

Haha thats ok. I did that with Crystal when it had come out. I ended up beating all 16 gym leaders in about 2 days, got to boring too quick.
Also I beat the 2nd gym leader, As most of my Pokemon are around 20-25 in level.

I dont know much else about trading anymore either though.

You can trade over the internet now, it's pretty cool. As long as you're friends with someone you can trade at almost any time.

I'm using the amazing new feature that is Super Training to raise a relatively competitive-level Mawile. (Focused on the Mega-Evo)
Maxed Attack and Defense, with the rest of her EVs thrown into Sp. Defense. Uses Hyper Cutter to get off a Swords Dance or two in normal form, then swaps to Mega-Mawile and rips everything apart.
Grinding a 'fully-trained' pokemon is hilariously easy. She rips through anything around her level.

Pokemon that are properly trained for competetive capability can sure swim through basic fights with ease. In Pokemon Black, I really wished to have a powerful Chandelure, so the moment I got to the phase where I could catch a Litwick (it was fairly late in the game), I took the time to catch one with a proper nature (+ sp atk / - atk, i think it is Modest) and relatively good IVs, and then trained him up to the level of my most powerful pokemon, and even made a really good moveset for him (I remember it included Flamethrower, Energy Ball, Ghost Ball, and something 4th with a different type). I managed to solo the entire Elite Four with that badass Chandelure.
I really like the addition of horde encounters and super training in Pokemon XY. The EV training was sorta tedious even after all the improvements from the previous titles.
By the way, anyone else ever tried reloading the game until you get a proper nature on your starter pokemon? :V

Ok going to sound like a pokenoob here, but do you have a good website to find the proper nature? or help me understand it. (like i said haven't played since it was gameboy advance lol)

Just search "Pokemon name" + "best nature" in google

I don't, but I did for the gift Torchic. The first one I got had a nature that lowered it's Attack.
I was not amused.

Smogon is generally what i use...then again I'm a nerd when it comes to pokemon.
And Yes Thror...a Modest/Timid Chandelure will murder everything. Anything with a base 145 Sp.Atk would.

Smogon is the Elitist Jerks of Pokemon. Serebii is the Wowhead of Pokemon. Both are great resources.
Just spent a while reading on Smogon about the possible evolutions of the metagame in 6th gen, and it sounds really exciting. A lot of talk about Greninja and Galvantula, which are both Pokemon that I really like. (I think Galvantula was one of the best looking 5th gen pokemon, and it also has a super clever name.)
(I personally prefer Serebii over Bulbapedia all the way.)
(Would be neat if ZAM launched a Pokemon database lol.)
Also I am really curious if Mega Evolutions will be allowed in sub-uber tiers. Because a lot of people keep talking about Mega Evolutions in the context of various tiers, but personally, I do not think they should be allowed anywhere below Uber, maaaaaybe OU. A lot of the Mega pokemon have ridiculous base stats.

anyone know a good training/leveling spot in postgame XY?
all i know right now is the e4, and they're pretty damn tough this time around; is there anything easier for me to level up fledgeling pokemon besides the wild and some random far and in-between once-a-day repeatable trainers?
also, FC:

i'm currently raising my team and doing some IV breeding, so no battles for a while; Egg power would really help.
