If the ugly dragon chicken pet from Torchlight 2 that nobody picks grows a new pair of legs and a ton of fur at the weirdest places and straps a spike ass shield to its torso it would look totally like the new store mount lol.

The highlight of TDKR was
oviously
Marion Cotillard's final scene.

Well then I might end up using my mod powers to change every post into a pun...

I'm not sure what the perception is about the way we use actual edits around here but from our point of view we want to use them very sparingly. We need to be aware that on a forum people can only express themselves through the words they use so if you alter them then you're having a profound effect on the way they communicate.
That said, some things do need to be removed but this is usually for two reasons. Firstly if it's simply inappropriate/vulgar/nasty - if it's just not content that you want on the site. Secondly, and this is the trickier element, when leaving some content in place will inevitably cause a further and larger derail. This is often if someone is calling out someone else in a way where the other person will be forced to respond. This kind of thing often falls under the 'inappropriate' umbrella too but not always.
Occasionally we need to remove a whole thread or whole post even if the content isn't actually bad in itself - like, maybe a thread has been necro-bumped with a post that's okay in itself but needlessly necros the thread. In these cases we remove the post (and allow the old thread to return to its place in the past) but often copy the removed post and email it to the user so they haven't lost the content completely.
It's a tightrope walk and there's lots of opinions on how to walk it - some interesting discussion on places like reddit about this stuff if you're up for some reading. All the best with it!

So did you guys/gals hear about the crap going on with John Cook from Gawker? He posted a list of all gun owners in NYC, and is crying now that all his information is getting broadcast over the intrawebs......which he did to all those people.
Turn about is fair play in my opinion.

I agree. This whole week has been rather blah.

That's either redundant or the day is indeed very, very stupid.

The new Wowhead contest is gonna be a big one. Holy Tyrael's Hilt Batman. I wouldn't know what to do with myself.

Are to contest rewards still unavailable outside the continental US (or something)?

No, this is open everywhere since it is just a loot card code.
That being said, I really hope I win something this time. Kinda made me irritated as hell to see a guy who had joined the day the contest started win some of those bad ass headphones last contest. Frigging grand prize winner right
here
. Great job there picking winners!

If the contest is supposed to be a random drawing, they can't show favorites. I imagine they check for people posting multiple entries from the same IP, or something.
