Their parents should be talking to them. I realize some don't; And it's frightening how many parents won't broach the subject. But where is the line? Where does it become a school topic instead of parental guidance?

The problem I see with parents bringing this up instead of the school will be that the parents might be biased, where as the school should be unbiased and giving information and not the teachers views.

BOOOO >=( Hat why did you deleted my third post on the "Operation: 60" Thread? that was an obvious joke, meant to lighten up the mood (not my fault that other dude decided to ruin it again by acting all rude)

Erm, rank, here's not really the place to discuss moderator action, as you know.

I modded Morrowind yesterday with
the Graphic and Sound Overhaul
and
Tamriel Rebuilt: Part 3
. So far, I haven't experienced the second mod yet, but it seems extremely promising. The first mod, however, makes Morrowind a whole new game, which doubles the awesomeness of it. My summer is off to a good start! :D

its the awesomeness of PC games, and why I believe they will always be superior to the Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo, and whatever else may come in the future.
Modification is the way.
Whereas people who play skyrim on their consoles have to settle for the vanilla game, and whatever DLCs the makers provide, We pc users can install just about anything, and create our own content. If you have Oblivion, I thoroughly recommend the addon "Nehrim".
Its a total-conversion mod, for all intents and purposes it IS a brand new game, using Oblivion's engine, but pushing the graphical limitations of it to the max. It uses an entirely new gameplay and leveling mechanic, and has a campaign with a story that will blow you away. Its on german though, but with full english subtitles. And I'll also add that the actors did a fantastic job voicing the game.
case in point
Its so good, I actually believe it beats the vanilla game in every way, both in plot, graphics, and gameplay.
And then if you wanna play the vanilla game, but can't bear to install a gazillion mods to enhance it, there's OOO (
Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul
)
I honestly can't wait for mods of this caliber to be made for Skyrim, Though that's gonna have to wait. Nehrim took nearly 5 years to make, and OOO took almost 3.
All in all, PC gaming is a doorway who's boundary is only that of the imagination and dedication of its fans. As long as a game has a dedicated modding fan-base, that game can live forever.
(Case in point: I still have installed Neverwinter Nights, because the playable modules made by fans o the game are SO DAMN GOOD!)

That video was amazing. I need to find my (brother's) copy of Oblivion for the PC now.
As for your comment about the time frame for Skyrim mods, yeah, they may take a while, but if they bring about turnarounds for the game like the Morrowind and Oblivion Mods did, then the wait(s) will be well worth it.
Mods indeed are what sets PC gaming from Console gaming, and, while it doesn't necessarily make PC gaming the epitome of gaming, it does give it a definite edge. I think the day Consoles receive the ability to accept and promote Mods, that the war between PCs and Consoles will finally be at an end.
